    摘要： In the case of a method for dividing metal strip, by means of shears (1) for dividing up metal strips (7) transversely in relation to the strip running direction in strip plants, wherein an upper cutter carrier (4) and a lower cutter carrier (2) on one side have an upper cutter (5) and a lower cutter (3) and on the other side are mounted on a common rotational spindle (6) and the metal strip (7) is at a standstill during the cutting operation, and wherein the upper cutter is formed in a stationary manner and the lower cutter is formed in a movable manner, the lower cutter (3) performs an arcuate movement towards the stationary upper cutter (5). The invention also relates to a device for carrying out the method according to the invention.

    摘要： An apparatus, system, and method for cutting tubes has a scarf cut made in a direction transverse to a cut-off direction. The scarf cut passes through a thickness of a tube wall and forms an opening that receives a tip of a cut-off blade. The cut-off blade has cutting edges with an angle that engage ends of the opening such that a slug is forced upward and outward relative to the tubes. The scarf blade, the cut-off blade, and a clamping jaw may be moved in a coordinated manner by separate drivers operated under control of an electronic controller.

    摘要： An apparatus and method for severing twine from a bale supported by one or more grapple arms and bucket of a tractor is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a slide bar mounted to at least one grapple arm, the tines, or the bucket. The slide bar has a first end and a second end, and a blade riding on the slide bar, the blade oriented on the slide bar so that the blade contacts portion of the twine as the blade moves along the slide bar. A motor coupled to the blade for controllably moves the blade along the slide bar. The motor can be a reversible dc motor controllable by a switch, or a hydraulic motor. The twine about the bale can be cut without the need for the farmer to leave the driver's compartment of the tractor.

    摘要： Tube cutoff apparatus of the double cut type wherein a horizontal blade passes across and notches a section of tube wall prior to the entry of a vertical severing blade. The horizontal blade holder assembly comprises a carriage which is interconnected with the base by means of a pair of parallelogram links. In one embodiment the horizontal blade holder assembly is driven through an arcuate path of travel by a depending dogleg cam which is mounted on the upper platen assembly of a die set. In a second embodiment the horizontal blade holder assembly is driven by a linkage including a triangular link and a drive link connected to the upper platen assembly. The result in both cases is to drive the horizontal blade holder assembly through an arcuate path which carries it downwardly and away from the path of the vertical blade in a minimum vertical stroke length. In both embodiments, means are provided for adjusting the vertical position of the notching blade relative to the tube section to accommodate tubes of varying diameter.
