Abstract:
A key ring including a continuous loop of material including a first section extending for the majority of the circumference of the continuous loop of material having a thickness of D1, and a indented second section extending for the remainder of the circumference of the continuous loop having a thickness D2 less than D1. The key ring also includes a securing device slidable about the continuous loop to cover and uncover the indented second section. One or more spring clips including a moveable arm having a tip end and a fixed member to which the movable arm is attached, the moveable arm moving between an opened position and a closed position, wherein a distance D3 is provided between the tip end of the moveable arm and a hook end of the fixed member when the moveable arm is in the opened position abutting the fixed member. The distance D3 is greater than D2, and less than D1 thus only allowing the spring clip to be attached and removed from the key ring at the indented second section of the continuous loop of material. The spring clip includes a split key ring.
Abstract:
Apparatuses, devices and systems for attaching seatbelts to anchoring structures in aircraft and other vehicles, are described herein. In some embodiments, such apparatuses include a modular connector having a base configured to be attached to an anchoring structure, a body configured to be attached to a seatbelt, and an annular lock configured to releasably couple the body to the base. In these embodiments, the body carries the lock adjacent to an aperture configured removably receive the base. When the body is pressed over the base, the base passes into the aperture and contacts the annular lock, expanding the lock outwardly around the base. The base continues moving though the aperture in the body until the lock retracts into a groove in base, thereby releasaby locking the body to the base.
Abstract:
A fastening device for connecting identified openings, including: an elongated main body member defining a longitudinal axis, the main body member having a first end portion and a second end portion at opposite ends of the longitudinal axis; first and second tip end members located at the first end portion and second end portion of the body, respectively, the first and second tip end members each adapted to fit through one of the identified openings; and a first deformable interference portion located between the main body member and the first tip end member, and a second deformable interference portion located between the main body and the second tip end member; where the first and second deformable interference portions are each normally located in a rest state where they define an outer dimension that prevents their passage through one of the identified openings. Other embodiments, features and methods are also described.
Abstract:
A snap ring for fishing implements is provided. The snap ring includes a hook-like body having an opening on a portion thereof, a rotary shaft coupled on one side to a portion of the body such that the rotary shaft is rotatable around the opening, a hollow guide into which the rotary shaft is fitted and slides along, and a guide spring provided between the rotary shaft and the guide to elastically support the guide against the rotary shaft.
Abstract:
A subsea connector comprises a female element (1) defining a parallel bore (2) adapted to receive a male element (3). First releasable locking means are disposed between elements (2) and (3) and comprise a sprung cage (6) in which balls (5) are retained for movement in tapered grooves circumferentially spaced around element (3). As the cage moves relative to element (3) balls (5) protrude from the cage to a greater or lesser extent to lock the elements together. Second locking means prevent relative movement between elements (1) and (3) in a locking release direction of the first releasable locking means. These second locking means comprise lock balls retained in an apertured body disposed between elements (1) and (2).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a locking mechanism which is adapted to constitute part of an item of body jewellery. The locking mechanism comprises a holder having at least one opening to be passed by an end portion of a bar of said item of body jewellery and, separately arranged therefor, an insert received in the holder and having a hole. The insert is operable relative to the holder between a first and a second position by applying a pressure to the insert. The opening of the holder and the hole of the insert together define in the first position a recess into which the end portion of the bar is insertable. In the second position the holder and the insert cooperate with the end portion of the bar for locking the same when inserted in the recess.
Abstract:
A cable marker used to identify associated cables. The cable marker is made of a weatherable polymeric material which remains flexible in variable temperature conditions. The cable marker is substantially elliptically shaped allowing the marker to adjust to fit cables of varying diameter. The cable marker has a plurality of sizing lugs and a diametrically opposed locking lug to facilitate sizing and locking of the cable marker to the cable. Engraving and foil printing permanently identify cables in addition to color coding.
Abstract:
A reclosable fastener assembly comprising a first fastener strip, a second fastener strip and a slider. The first fastener strip has an inner surface and an outer surface, including at least an uppermost closure element and a bottommost closure element positioned along the length of the inner surface. The second fastener strip has an inner surface and an outer surface, including at least an uppermost closure element and a bottommost closure element positioned along the length of the inner surface. The closure elements along the second fastener strip are adapted to engage with the closure elements along the first fastener strip, thereby interlocking the second fastener strip with the first fastener strip. The slider has a top and side walls depending from opposite sides of the top for receiving the fastener strips therebetween, the side walls extending downward from the top to a point below the uppermost closure elements, so that at least a portion of the fastener strips are held between the side walls. The side walls also extend from a separating end of the slider to a pinching end. Pinching means are positioned proximate to the pinching end. The slider also includes a separating leg depending from the top between the first and second side walls at the separating end of the slider. The separating leg penetrates at least one of the uppermost closure elements of the first or second fastener strips, but not the bottommost closure elements.
Abstract:
First resilient portions (21) having a radially-acting resilient force, as well as second resilient portions (23) having an axially-acting resilient force, are provided on a support member (2). A connection member (1) has a fitting portion (4) for receiving the support member, and the fitting portion has retaining portions (12) for the resilient portions (21). The resilient portions (21) contact an inner surface of the fitting portion (4), and the resilient portions (24) are abutted against the fitting portion. Guide grooves (20) are formed respectively in four side surfaces of the support member (2), and the resilient piece portion (21) is provided in each of the guide grooves, and projects rearwardly, and the resilient arms (23) are formed on the outer surface of the support member, and project forwardly. The retaining pawls (12) are formed on an open end (11) of the fitting portion, and each of the retaining pawls is received in the associated guide groove (20) to be engaged with the associated resilient piece portion (21), and elongate projections (10) each for contact with the associated resilient piece portion (21) are formed on the inner surface of the fitting portion. The connection member is either a frame for receiving a plurality of connectors or a connector, and the connection member, fitted on the support member (2) mounted on the panel, can be fitted in a mating frame or a mating connector (39), which is fixed to another panel.
