    摘要: A cushion body, which can secure both soft touch feeling and durability, a seat having the same, and a manufacturing method thereof are provided.A cushion body 11 is formed by stacking a first sheet-like fibrous structure 4a and a second sheet-like fibrous structure 4b where webs 2 are stacked such that their extending direction conforms with a thickness direction T of the cushion body and between the first sheet-like fibrous structure 4a and the second sheet-like fibrous structure 4b, a load receiving member 4e whose flexing degree to load in the thickness direction T is small is disposed. Since the first sheet-like fibrous structure 4a is disposed on a sitting surface 10a, the structure is largely flexed when applied with the load from outside the cushion body 11 due to sitting and gives soft touch feeling to a seat occupant. On the other hand, since the load receiving member 4e has a small flexing amount and holds certain hardness, the member is hard to fatigue to the load and can ensure durability by supporting the load in the thickness direction T received by the first sheet-like fibrous structure 4a and dispersing it.

    摘要: A stuffed textile article and method of manufacturing the same has at least one compartment having a baffle gate which receives a tube-like stuffing tool through which loose stuffing is blown into the compartment. Upon removal of the tool, the surrounding layers and panels which define the compartment are placed under tension by the stuffing causing the baffle gates to automatically close upon removal of the tool permanently preventing migration of the stuffing out of the compartment. The gate has a primary panel secured to the top and bottom layers of the article and an adjacent secondary panel at least partially covering the primary panel. The primary panel has a slit and the secondary panel has a slot. Taken individually, the slit and slot are each preferably longer than the thickness of the stuffed textile article and longer than half the circumference of the stuffing tool. This enables use of the stuffing tool on stuffed textile articles having a thickness which is generally less than half the circumference of the tool. The slit and slot cross one-another preferably at about their mid-points. For easy insertion, the tool is chamfered having a blunt extremity which makes first contact with the panels at about the cross-over point to minimize snagging of the tool.

    摘要: A cushion or pillow for use by making upholstered furniture comprises a generally block- or plate-shaped foam core (2) and a fibrous stuffing material (6) which surrounds the core. The stuffing material (6) includes at least one layer or web of a cable fiber material, the layer being dimensioned and retained to completely enclose the core. The long and generally uniformly oriented cable fibers or filaments are retained and the stuffing material does not include free or loose fibers. Accordingly, it is not necessary to make specific demands with respect to the tightness of cover fabrics, since there are no loose fibers which are able to penetrate the cover. The fact that the long fibers or filaments are continuous has also the effect that the fibers or filaments are not able to lump or become firmly bonded together and, thereby, the cushion can be cleaned by usual washing and drying.
