Abstract: A binder arrangement that has a plurality of covers hingably connected to a spine that spaces apart each cover such that each cover can carry a binder and be closed one on top of the other without either binder interfering with each other or case closure. Each binder includes a hold down page that is releasably attached by a hold down page latch that accommodates the binder holding contents having different thicknesses. In a preferred embodiment, the hold down page latch comprises a hook and loop fastener that has a loop strip fixed to a latch strap and a hook strip that is fixed to the hold down page. To increase the number of opening and closing cycles the binder arrangement can endure, the binder arrangement has sidewalls joined by a fastening arrangement that is resiliently anchored at one end to the spine, preferably by an elastomeric connector. In one preferred embodiment, the fastening arrangement is a zipper that is resiliently anchored at its zipper bottom stop by a piece of elastic fabric.

Abstract: The primary object of the present of invention is to provide a button binder in which paper or sheets can be easily retained and moved out, which exclude the above-mentioned disadvantages. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, the button binder includes several buttons, connection pieces, pulling pieces, a front sheet, a rear sheet and strips. An appropriate number of the buttons are fixed on the appropriate position on the binder, such as on the left portion or top portion of the rear sheet. The buttons mainly compromises a cap and a post. The cap has an axial hole. The post is capable of engaging in the axial hole of the cap and being fastened tightly. Punched papers or sheets can be hold by the post under the cap. When paper in the button binder is opened, there is big force to open the buttons. In order to secure the paper tightly, the buttons are designed to be opened only in a proper direction or site, and the buttons can not be opened in non-proper direction or site. Where the site of the button can be opened, the button cap and the post mesh by smooth curve faces as usual buttons. However, where the site of the button can not be opened, the button cap has tooth pawl, the button post also has latch tooth. They mesh together by teeth to firmly grasp paper. Moreover, where the button can not be opened, the button cap and post have enough touching length along the axial direction of the post, they engage by the longer contacting length (or area) along the post, the button also can not be opened from here. Another way is by latch rod of the cap and claw notch of post. The spring latch rod engages in the claw notch, the button also can not be opened from this place. To move the paper or sheets is easy and simple by a pulling action to open the proper place of the buttons, then all the button will be opened.

Abstract: A ring binder cover (4) is composed of a pair of themoplastic sheets (20, 22) superimposed in edge-to-edge relation with a stiffener insert panel (23) disposed therebetween. The insert panel bears two parallel grooves (25, 27) which divide the insert into a spine zone (30) and two cover zones (24, 26). The material of the insert lying at the bottom of the grooves forms a pair of flexible strips (32, 34) which, combined with the adjacent portions of the cover sheets, form hinges between the spine and each cover. The peripheral edge portions (40) of the two thermoplastic sheets are sealed together and provide a sealed envelope for the stiffener insert which defines semi-rigid back and front cover panels of the binder, hingedly connected to a rigid spine. The insert can be provided with insert notches (370, 470, 570) at each end of each flexible strip to reduce outward protuberance of the peripheral edge at the hinge ends. At the mouth of each insert notch, the peripheral edge can carry straight across, or can follow inward toward the insert notch to form a seam notch, or can have a seam area which extends inward toward each insert notch. Another feature which can be incorporated into the ring binder concept of this invention is the idea of a curvable spine. The curvable spine idea involves providing one or more hinge-like spine grooves (641, 642, 643, 644) on the inside surface of the spine portion of the insert between the two hinge grooves. This allows the spine to flatten when the covers are open, but to curve about the longitudinal axis of the spine (concave on the inside and convex on the outside) when the covers are closed.
