摘要： A steam humidifier having a water tank with a quick assembly feature. The steam humidifier includes a removable tank, where the removable tank is configured to contain water to be heated to generate steam and a handle that is configured to selectively secure the removable tank to the humidifier. The handle defines at least a first rotational position in which a tank support feature on the tank is engaged with a handle support feature on the handle such that the tank is attached to the humidifier. The handle further defines at least a second rotational position in which the tank support feature is disengaged from the handle support feature such that the tank is unattached from the humidifier. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

摘要： Disclosed is an apparatus for heating a viscuous liquid slurry by direct steam injection in small scale installations. A process tube, through which the slurry flows, is surrounded by a pressure vessel. The pressure vessel acts as a high pressure steam boiler tank, heating the process tube. The process tube, having a length to accommodate mixing of the slurry within, act as a reaction chamber, into which steam is injected via a direct steam injection assembly. The integration of the injector, reactor, and boiler avoids the need for an external boiler and associated plumbing.

摘要： The invention relates to a method and a device in a steam injector (1). The steam injector (1) is of the type which comprises an injector housing (2) with an inlet (4) for steam and an inlet (3) for the product which is to be treated. In the injector housing (2) there is also an outlet (7) for the ready-treated product. In the injector (1), the steam is brought together with the product. The device comprises a throttle washer (8) which is placed immediately after the product outlet (7). The throttle washer (8) entails that the pressure is raised immediately before the product leaves the injector (1). The pressure increase entails an improved steam distribution in the product and that the risk of sedimentation in the product is counteracted. The device also entails that disturbing noise that may occur in the injector (1) is considerably reduced.

摘要： A method of humidifying gases to 100% relative humidity and a humidifier to carry out such a method are provided to humidify gases for fuel cells and for other applications. The humidification of gases is thermally controlled and thermal energy is managed to provide an efficient system. A pre-humidifier accommodates a wide range of flow rates of dry gas to initially humidify and pre-heat the gas, and a boiler provides steam to mix with the effluent from the pre-humidifier to humidify the gas to saturation. A thermal insulator between the boiler and bulk water and/or pre-humidifier enhances the steam generation from the boiler and prevents direct heating of water or gases by heat from the boiler. Above the boiler, bulk water, and pre-humidifier, a mixing chamber further functions as a condenser and water separator. The mixing chamber provides a space for mixing gases and steam and separates saturated gases from condensed water. By vapor condensation during the mixing, the gas can be humidified completely to its dew point at given temperature and pressure conditions.

摘要： The housing of a direct contact condenser has a partition with a manifold water supply adapted to discharge water to opposite sides of the partition. A plurality of showers are disposed below the elevation of the water supply and through which a gas stream will pass sequentially. Each shower receives water from one side of the partition. The last shower is provided with temperature sensors which are connected to a valve for controlling water flow in response to either the temperature of the fluid and the water at the last shower.
