    摘要: A data storage device includes a CMIP application component which receives data on network objects using the CMIP protocol from the network manager of a main network. For each attribute of each object, a CMIP/SNMP mapper component converts the CMIP object class name, attribute name and distinguished name of the object into the corresponding SNMP attribute value and this data is stored in an MIB. An SNMP application component receives requests for information from a network manager of a local network. In order to service a valid request, the SNMP application component retrieves the required data from MIB and supplies this data to the network manager for the local network using the SNMP protocol. For changes in the values of certain attributes of certain objects, the SNMP application component issues traps to the manager of the local network.

    摘要: In a traffic view server (TVS) system in which the traffic through a telecommunications network is monitored, a database system is provided to enable high processing rate for the TVS, both for inserting the data into the system and for extracting the stored data out for reporting purposes. The database system is structured in three pieces, a first one handling statistics data from records that are collected by a traffic statistics system (MTS), a second one handling enhanced call detail records (ECDR) screened from the MTS, and a last one handling common material references. The statistics data are first stored in a fast response electronic storage medium, after they have been segregated into different basic types of statistics data. The thus segregated basic types of statistics data are then combined and forwarded for long term storage in a magnetic storage medium at a brief period of time after a predetermined time interval. On the other hand, the CDR and reference data are stored directly, but at a steady rate, to respective CDR and reference storage tables.

    摘要: A method and system is provided for use in an Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) for automatically accessing and invoking existing switch-based services without going off-hook. To be operative, the Advanced Intelligent Network must be equipped with O-called-party-busy trigger and leg manipulation functionality such as in AIN release 1.0 architecture and have at least one service node or suitable switch in electrical communication with a plurality of central offices via a suitable signaling protocol such as Transaction Capability Application Part (TCAP) protocol. The switch or service node must be operative as the home switch or virtual Service Switching Point (SSP) for subscribers to existing switch-based services. In operation, the signaling protocol is monitored to detect predetermined triggers and line conditions associated with selected switch-based services. Upon the detection of such predetermined triggers and line conditions, a first electrical signal corresponding thereto is generated for receipt by the service node SCP. Upon receipt, normal call processing is automatically suspended and call handling is transferred to the service node whereupon a second electrical signal is generated prompting the subscriber to select the associated switch-based service. If selected, by the entry of a Dual Tone MultiFrequency (DTMF) signal or other suitable response, the switch-based service will be automatically invoked without the user going off-hook.
