Abstract:
A computer-controlled system determines attributes of a frexel, which is an area of human skin, and applies a reflectance modifying agent (RMA) at the pixel level to automatically change the appearance of human features based on one or more digital images. The change may be based on a digital image of the same frexel, for as seen in a prior digital photograph captured previously by the computer-controlled system. The system scans the frexel and uses feature recognition software to compare the person's current features in the frexel with that person's features in the digital image. It then calculates enhancements to the make the current features appear more like the features in the digital image, and it applies the RMA to the frexel to accomplish the enhancements. Or the change may be based on a digital image of another person, through the application of RMAs.
Abstract:
Imaging process initialization techniques are described. In an implementation, a color estimate is generated for a plurality of pixels within a region of an image. A plurality of pixels outside of the regions are first identified for each pixel of the plurality of pixels within the region. This may include identification of pixels disposed at opposing directions from the pixel being estimated. A color estimate is determined for each of the plurality of pixels based on the identified pixels. As part of this, a weighting may be employed, such as based on a respective distance of each of the pixels outside of the region to the pixel within the region, a distance along the opposing direction for corresponding pixels outside of the region (e.g., at horizontal or vertical directions), and so forth. The color estimate is then used to initialize an imaging process technique.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates generally to data hiding for retail product packaging and other printed objects. One embodiment embeds an information signal in a spot color for product packaging. The spot color is screened, and overprinted with process color tint. The tint is modulated prior to overprinting with optimized signal tweaks. The optimization can include consideration of a detector spectral dependency (e.g., red and/or green illumination). Many other embodiments and combinations are described in the subject patent document.
Abstract:
An object is to accurately provide the user with color fidelity information irrespective of difference in the time of day when or in the location where a commercial product is photographed and prevent mismatching of the user's selection of the commercial product. A color fidelity environment correction system 1 includes a camera 2 and a computer 5 that is connectable with the camera 2, a tablet terminal 3 and a display device 4 and is configured to include a CPU, a ROM, a RAM, a hard disk drive and a bus line. A red vehicle 6 is photographed with the camera 2 (RC-500) in a plant or the like, and XYZ color fidelity images are recorded in a storage unit 51 of the computer 5. Another blue vehicle 7 is photographed with the tablet terminal 3 in the open air, and an RGB color image is stored in a storage unit 52. An RGB color image of the red color vehicle is created with replacement of the blue color of the RGB color image of the vehicle 7 with red color of the 3-band visual sensitivity images S1i, S2i and S3i of the vehicle 6 and is displayed on the display device 4 or is displayed with the RGB color image of the blue vehicle 7 in a comparative manner.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus includes a first selection unit configured to select an adjustment color, a print control unit configured to cause a printer to print a chart including a patch corresponding to the adjustment color selected and patches corresponding to respective neighboring colors of the adjustment color, a second selection unit configured to select a target color from the colors corresponding to the respective patches on the chart, a generation unit configured to generate a color conversion table to he used for converting a color to be printed by the printer, by using the adjustment color selected and the target color selected, and a determination unit configured to determine an arrangement of the patches to be included in the chart to be printed by the printer, based on a color value of the adjustment color selected.
Abstract:
A color information obtaining unit obtains color information of an attention point or an attention area within a target image. A similarity information obtaining unit obtains similarity information related to a level of similarity between color information of an image that is stored in a storage in advance and the color information obtained by the color information obtaining unit. A notification unit causes an output unit to output a notification based on the similarity information.

Abstract:
A soft proof system includes a display module and a manager. The display module displays a visual representation of a print product, and a color array expressing a tolerance range of a color component of the visual representation and a target color within the range. Via the manager, a visualization function produces the visual representation and the color array according to a soft proof array. A tolerance selection function, associated with the display module, enables selection of the tolerance range for at least a portion of the print product, wherein the selection is expressed on the display in the visual representation and in the color array.

Abstract:
An image processing method is disclosed. A color extraction region in an input image is set based on a user's input. Color data included in the color extraction region is extracted. At least one color proposing region is displayed along with the input image. The at least one color proposing region is determined based on the extracted color data and is enabled to be selected by the user. Image processing is performed on a first region of the input image differently from a remaining region of the input image. The first region corresponds to the extracted color data in a selected color proposing region of the at least one color proposing region that is selected by the user.
