摘要: A method for efficient connection between a telecommunications network and a Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) via an access node includes: establishing a physical communication channel between the access node of the telecommunications network and the CPE; providing, by the telecommunications network, a public or private Internet Protocol address to the CPE for use by the CPE to communicate with an Internet Protocol Edge node of the telecommunications network; initially assigning, by the telecommunications network, a first functionality level to the public or private Internet Protocol address; and assigning, by the telecommunications network, a second functionality level to the public or private Internet Protocol address when the telecommunications network is able to federate the network access related identification information to a contract related identification information.

摘要: A data network may be operated between a routing gateway for a subscriber and a data service provider providing a data service. More particularly, the data network may receive from the data service provider an identification of the routing gateway, an identification of the data service provider, and data flow characteristics of the data service for a session of the routing gateway using the data service provided by the data service provider. Responsive to receiving the identification of the routing gateway, the identification of the data service provider, and the data flow characteristics for the data service, the data flow characteristics of the data service for the routing gateway may be saved at the data network and forwarded to the routing gateway. Related data networks, data service providers, routing gateways, and computer program products are also discussed.

摘要: The present invention facilitates identification and control of peer-to-peer sessions via an access concentration point (ACP). The ACP will monitor packets routed therethrough and detect access messages intended for known peer-to-peer access services. The access messages sent from a communication client to the peer-to-peer access service, which will respond by sending an access reply message back to the communication client. The ACP will monitor the packets being routed to identify the access reply message, which will include routing addresses that may be associated with potential remote communication clients. With these addresses, the ACP can monitor packets to identify when an attempt to initiate a peer-to-peer communication session is being made to or through an entity associated with one or more of these addresses. Upon detecting a session initiation message to or through an identified address, the ACP may take any number of actions, depending on how the ACP is configured.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method for implementing a context aware service application and a related apparatus. One method for implementing a context aware service application includes: receiving, by a context aware service platform, a first context request from a context aware client, where the first context request carries description information corresponding to requested context information; and matching released context sources by using the description information, and if matching succeeds, acquiring context information provided by at least one matched context source, and sending the acquired context information to the context aware client. The technical solutions according to the embodiments of the present disclosure help implement the context aware service application in a flexible and standard manner.

摘要: A transparent routing device disposed within an access network configured in accordance with one or more lower-layer protocols is disclosed herein. The device includes a set of subscriber-side ports. Each of the subscriber-side ports is associated with a plurality of virtual subscriber-side interfaces disposed to effectively terminate a corresponding plurality of subscriber-side connections with subscriber host devices served by the access network. The device further includes at least one network-side port through which communication occurs with an external network in accordance with a higher-layer protocol. A routing table is configured to establish a correspondence between network addresses of the subscriber host devices and the plurality of virtual subscriber-side interfaces. During operation of the device, packets received through the at least one network-side port are forwarded to corresponding ones of the virtual subscriber-side interfaces based upon network addresses of the packets.

摘要: A test system couples various ports of one or more CPE devices to components mounted in a rigid mounting system. The system can test the line card portion of the CPE devices coupled to line card interface equipment for various parameters. Variable RF attenuation in RF interface equipment can adjust power levels to/from the RF port of the CPE devices to account for close proximity and variations between different vendors and models, which are coupled via the RF interface equipment to an included CMTS. Network interface equipment tests network port performance of the CPE devices by coupling a general purpose computer thereto. Switching one of a plurality of CPE devices to be the only one tested at a time and switching an addition RENLOAD is controlled by a provisioning server based on criteria including information in a database of various parameters of the particular device being tested.
