    摘要: A multimode antenna structure is provided for transmitting and receiving electromagnetic signals in a communications device. The communications device includes circuitry for processing signals communicated to and from the antenna structure. The antenna structure includes a plurality of antenna ports for coupling to the circuitry; a plurality of antenna elements, each operatively coupled to a different one of the antenna ports; and a plurality of connecting elements. The connecting elements each electrically connect neighboring antenna elements such that the antenna elements and the connecting elements are arranged about the periphery of the antenna structure and form a single radiating structure. Electrical currents on one antenna element flow to connected neighboring antenna elements and generally bypass the antenna ports coupled to the neighboring antenna elements such that an antenna mode excited by one antenna port is generally electrically isolated from a mode excited by another antenna port at a given desired signal frequency range, and the antenna structure generates diverse antenna patterns.

    摘要: A communication device including a ground element and an antenna element is provided. The antenna element is adjacent to an edge of the ground element. The antenna element has a projection on the edge of the ground element. The antenna element includes a radiation element, a feeding element, and a shorting element. The radiation element has a first end and a second end, and the second end is open. The radiation element has plural bends such that the second end is adjacent to the first end. One end of the feeding element is coupled through a capacitive element to a connection point on the radiation element, and the connection point is adjacent to or at the first end. Another end of the feeding element is coupled to a signal source. The feeding element includes a first segment which is substantially parallel to the edge of the ground element.

The antenna element has a projection on the edge of the ground element. The antenna element includes a radiation element, a feeding element, and a shorting element. One end of the feeding element is coupled through a capacitive element to a connection point on the radiation element, and the connection point is adjacent to or at the first end. Another end of the feeding element is coupled to a signal source. The feeding element includes a first segment which is substantially parallel to the edge of the ground element.

    摘要: In a radiator, a large loop is formed by radiation conductors, first and second capacitors, and first and second inductors, and a small loop is formed by portions of the radiation conductors close to each other, the second capacitor, and the second inductor. The radiator is configured such that its first portion, second portion, and third portion resonate at predetermined frequencies, respectively. The first portion extends along the large loop, and includes the first inductor, the first capacitor, and one of the second inductor and the second capacitor. The second portion includes a section extending from a feed point to a second position through one of the first inductor and the first capacitor, and includes the small loop. The third portion includes a section extending from the feed point to the second position through the first capacitor.
