    摘要: An infrared radiation emitting element is provided. A carbonized conducting filament is formed from an insulating substrate material. Passing current through the filament produces radiation in the infrared band. The radiation emitted is tuned by altering the physical or chemical characteristics of the filament. A substrate is optionally doped prior to filament formation. Alternatively, or in addition, a post-filament formation doping process is used. The light-emitting element is a durable, low power IR emitter that is operable as a marker.

    摘要: An infrared radiation source has a radiation-transparent, gas-tight tube made of electrically insulating material, in which a heat conductor made of carbon strip is arranged. The heat conductor has two ends, which are respectively electrically and mechanically connected to bushings made of molybdenum and/or tungsten and/or tantalum, and the bushings are respectively connected via current feed-through leads with electrical connections projecting from the tube. The two ends of the heat conductor are respectively connected to one of the bushings by a metallic solder, which contains at least one of the metals titanium, zirconium or hafnium.

    摘要: An improved inlead construction for an electric lamp is disclosed which utilizes an iron alloy containing sufficient silicon to avoid transformation of the inlead from the alpha ferrite phase to the gamma austenite phase at lamp operation temperatures. This precludes debilitating deformation of the inlead wires caused by on-off cycling of the lamp and concomitant cycling of the wire through the alpha to gamma transformation range. Such deformation can lead to structural or operational failure if the inleads become disconnected or electrically shorted from the resistive filament during lamp operation. In a preferred lamp construction, a pair of the improved inlead wires serve as the sole means of physical support for a resistive incandescent filament directly connected thereto and said inlead wires can further be coated with a dissimilar metal for higher lamp loading requirements in order to help avoid iron migration which can produce deterioration of the resistive incandescent filament.

The device, the method, and the computer program product can be used in a spectroscopic application.

The first zone 19a and the second zone 19b are formed of materials consisting primarily of molybdenum and nickel, respectively. The third zone 19c is formed of a Dumet wire 29.
