    摘要: The plasma display device has a sustain pulse generating circuit for generating sustain pulses in a sustain period. The sustain pulse generating circuit generates at least two kinds of sustain pulses of different rising gradients in the sustain period, generates a predetermined number of sustain pulse whose rising gradient becomes steeper to the latter half in at least one-side electrode in the sustain period after first two sustain pulses and except an erasing pulse, and continuously generates the sustain pulses while the rising gradient of the sustain pulses is varied in response to the light emitting rate of the plasma display panel in the sustain period.

    摘要: A glass composition of the present invention is an oxide glass, in which the percentages of elements except for oxygen (O) contained therein are as follows, in terms of atom %: the amount of boron (B) exceeds 72% but does not exceed 86%, the total amount of lithium (Li), sodium (Na), and potassium (K) is 8% to 20%, the total amount of magnesium (Mg), calcium (Ca), strontium (Sr), and barium (Ba) is 1% to 8%, the amount of silicon (Si) is from 0% to less than 15%, and the amount of zinc (Zn) is from 0% to less than 2%. This glass composition further may contain molybdenum (Mo) and/or tungsten (W) in the range of more than 0% but not more than 3%.

The first black layer includes cobalt (Co) material and ruthenium (Ru) material. The barrier rib including lead (Pb) equal to or less than 1,000 ppm (parts per million).

In a column direction of at least one of transparent electrodes, which perform sustain discharge via respective discharge gaps of a pair of row electrodes and constituting a row electrode pair, is set to 150 μm or less, and partial pressure of xenon in discharge gas sealed in a discharge space is set to 6.67 kPa or more. A width of a scan electrode, which is one row electrode of each of the row electrode pair facing the column electrode and to which scan pulse is applied, is wider than a width of the other row electrode of the pair to which discharge sustain voltage is applied.

The PDP includes: a substrate through which visible rays displaying an image are transmitted; a plurality of electrode buried walls arranged below the substrate and defining discharge cells; a plurality of pairs of discharge electrodes spaced apart from each other in the electrode buried walls and performing a discharge in the discharge cells; a sealing member arranged below the electrode buried walls, sealing a discharge gas together with the substrate, and formed of a material having a higher thermal conductivity than that of the substrate; and phosphor layers arranged in the discharge cells.
