    摘要： A tamper-indicating label to be applied to a container. The label is longer than the circumference of the container, so that the label can be wrapped around the container and adhered to itself in an overlap area. The label includes a tamper-indicating mechanism in the overlap area irreversibly indicating if the label has been separated in the overlap area after initial application of the label to the container. The mechanism may be (1) an adhesive bond in the overlap area that is stronger than the label stock in the overlap area, (2) a line of weakening in the label, and/or (3) a frangible material, an adhesive, and/or printing that fractures and/or separates when the overlap area is opened.

    摘要： A kit for labelling an object with a target label comprises an instrument having an end(s) for manipulating labels. Transfer label(s) adhered to the end of the instrument, the transfer label having a facestock having adhesive on at least one of its surfaces, an adhesion force A between a first surface of the facestock of the transfer label and the instrument being greater than an adhesion force B between a second surface of the transfer label and a target label. The instrument and transfer label are used to manually transfer the target label from a target label liner to an object by releasable adherence of the target label to the second surface of the transfer label. A method for labelling an object is also provided.

    摘要： To enable a pressure-sensitive adhesive region and a non-pressure-sensitive adhesive region to be set immediately before use of a pressure-sensitive adhesive label in accordance with the purpose of use, provided is a pressure-sensitive adhesive label, including: a base; a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer provided on the base; a thermosensitive film provided on the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer; and the pressure-sensitive adhesive region including a plurality of openings through which the thermosensitive film is opened to expose the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. The pressure-sensitive adhesive region includes an opening pattern in which the plurality of openings are arranged regularly. Thus, it is possible to set the pressure-sensitive adhesive region and the non-pressure-sensitive adhesive region immediately before the use of the pressure-sensitive adhesive label in accordance with the purpose of use.

    摘要： An easy removal pressure-sensitive adhesive-backed label includes a tamper indicator which is especially useful as a pricing label for consumer goods is provided. The label includes nonadhesive finger grip which may be grasped with the fingers to assist in removal of the label from the surface to which it has been applied. The label further includes a score line which causes it to separate completely into two sections, thus bisecting the information on the label, when removal of the label is attempted. Reapplication of the label to another surface, such as might be attempted by an unscrupulous consumer desiring to switch labels, requires precise alignment of the label sections to avoid detection. A method for producing this tamper indicating pressure-sensitive adhesive label which may be readily adapted to conventional laminate production line procedures is also provided.
