Abstract: In order to provide a monitoring device in which a pre-determined action is stably executed in response to detected pre-determined information, a monitoring device has a rule control unit configured to execute a pre-determined action according to a detection of pre-determined information; a determination unit configured to determine whether or not the detection of the pre-determined information has already occurred; and a notification control unit configured to, when rules in the rule control means are set or changed, in the case in which it has been determined that the pre-determined information has already been detected by the determining unit, transmit information to a display control device so as to display a message to the effect that the detection has already occurred.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a control system includes a client terminal, a first server and a second server. The client terminal transmits an assignment request of an IP address including first identification information that uniquely identifies the client terminal and is set as a host name to the first server. The first server assigns an IP address to the client terminal in accordance with the request, and transmits the IP address and the host name to the second server. The second server transmits, when one or more items of second identification information include the first identification information set as the host name and when a setup process of the client terminal has not been performed, data for the process of the client terminal to the client terminal using the IP address.

Abstract: An apparatus comprises a storage device and a device controller operatively coupled with the storage device. The device controller comprises a memory that stores an application. The application stored on the memory comprises instructions. When executed, the instruction direct the device controller to receive a storage request comprising content. The device controller retrieves a storage device policy from the memory that indicates a set of storage locations on the storage device. The device controller selects one of the storage locations on the storage device based on the storage device policy. The device controller stores the content on the storage device at the selected storage location. The device controller records storage information for the content that indicates the selected location on the memory.

Abstract: A method of monitoring status information of devices is described. The method includes establishing a first connection to a hardware resource executing a cloud extension agent on a local network, over a wide area network external from the local network and separated by at least one firewall, using a standard internet protocol. The method further includes sending, via the first connection, a first set of instructions to manage a first set of mobile devices by one or more local servers on the local network; and receiving status information via the secure network connection, wherein the status information is from the one or more local servers on the local network associated with a plurality of devices that access the one or more local servers.

The cloud extension agent can reach the cloud based services through existing firewall infrastructure, thereby providing simple, secure deployment. Furthermore, the secure connection can enable substantially real-time communication with a cloud service to provide web-based, substantially real time control or management of resources on the customer premises via the cloud extension agent.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with website hosting are described. In one embodiment, a method includes maintaining a plurality of unpublished website versions that are available to assign as a live version of a website. The example method may also include selecting an unpublished website version from the plurality of unpublished website versions based upon an attribute of a request for the live version of the website satisfying a rule specifying that the unpublished website version is to be used as the live version of the website. The example method may also include reassigning the live version of the website from a current website version to the unpublished website version for the request. The example method may also include transmitting the unpublished website version as the live version of the website to the remote device over the network.
