摘要: Presenting a diagram indicating relationships among data items stored in a data management system includes: receiving a request that identifies a first data item stored in the data management system from a user interface; retrieving stored configuration information that includes a plurality of selection specifications for selecting data items in the data management system that are related to a given data item of a predetermined type, where each selection specification is associated with a different respective predetermined type; querying the data management system to identify a set of one or more data items according to a selection specification from the configuration information that is associated with a type of the first data item; for each of multiple returned data items in the identified set, querying the data management system to determine whether additional data items are identified according to a selection specification from the configuration information that is associated with a type of the returned data item; generating a diagram indicating relationships among data items identified using the configuration information; and presenting the generated diagram over the user interface.

摘要: A database security system protects a data table at both the column level and the individual data record level. Access to data records within the data table is governed by categories assigned to data records, by user roles assigned to users, and by a set of security access tables. A first access table maps data record identifiers to data record categories, data record protection schemes, and corresponding scheme keys. A second access table maps user roles to data record categories. A third access table maps column identifiers to column protection schemes and corresponding scheme keys. A fourth access table maps user roles to column identifiers. If a user requests access to a data record, the security access tables are queried using the data record identifier, the associated column identifier, and the user roles associated with the user to determine if the user can access the requested data record.

摘要: Embodiments of the invention relate to generating automated web task procedures from an analysis of web history logs. One aspect of the invention concerns a method that comprises identifying sequences of related web actions from a web log, grouping each set of similar web actions into an action class, and mapping the sequences of related web actions into sequences of action classes. The method further clusters each group of similar sequences of action classes into a cluster, wherein relationships among the action classes in the cluster are represented by a state machine, and generates automated web task procedures from the state machine.

Users submit search queries as part of their normal activities. For a user, the search queries submitted and information regarding search results used to generate additional search queries on different, but related topics. The generated additional search queries are submitted automatically on behalf of the user at a sufficient frequency to prevent high accuracy data analysis on search queries.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for query generation from a previous result set. In an embodiment of the invention, a method for query generation from a previous result set is provided. The method includes identifying commonalities in a selection of records of a result set produced by a previously issued query against a database in a database management system executing in memory by at least one processor of a host server. The method further includes deriving a query from the identified commonalities that when executed against the database management system would produce the selection of records as the result set. Finally, the method includes storing the derived query for subsequent use in querying the database.

摘要: A query processor determines if an initial query results in a query system having a search engine coupled to a database to identify a limited maximum number of records deliverable by the query system. This limitation is indicative of an incomplete result because records are includable in the query may not be included in the result. In response the query processor generates a plurality of queries that cause the query system to generate results that identify less than the maximum number. The results of the plurality of queries are combined as a response to the initial query. Duplicate records caused by any overlap in the plurality of queries may be eliminated from the combination. Determining a median value of a query range that causes the query system to deliver the maximum number of records may be utilized in the generation of the plurality of queries.
