The process includes: obtaining image data; obtaining thread colors as available colors for sewing an embroidery pattern; setting a first color representing a target area; in a case where at least one color is assigned from the available colors as a color representing the target area, selecting a color close to the first color when combined with the at least one color assigned, from the available colors, as a candidate; determining whether a difference between color information representing the at least one color assigned and color information representing the candidate is smaller than a threshold value; in a case where the difference is smaller than the threshold value, adding the candidate to the at least one color assigned; and generating embroidery data associating thread color data with position data.

摘要： An embroidery data creating system capable of creating embroidery data that enables an operator having no knowledge of stitch characteristics to form an embroidered pattern having a beautiful appearance. The operator scans an original picture with an image scanner to obtain image data and coordinates of points defining a closed embroidering region are extracted from the image data. An end point, e.g., the lowermost point among the points specified by the extracted coordinates, is specified, the rightmost point and the leftmost point among the points specified by the extracted coordinates are determined, a stitching direction is determined on the basis of the greatest distance of the distance between the rightmost point and a boundary line passing through the end point and perpendicular to the embroidering direction and the distance between the leftmost point and the boundary line, and embroidery data is created on the basis of the stitching direction and the coordinates of the boundary points.

摘要： A method is provided for embroidering embroidery elements by means of a processor-controlled sewing machine (1). The method includes: the fabric (2) that is to be embroidered is placed in the required position in relation to a threaded needle (5) on the sewing machine; a plurality of embroidery elements (A, B, C) in the form of software products having pre-programmed embroideries are provided; a group of said embroidery elements, defined as stitch data objects in a memory (M), is selected; an arbitrary curve (KU) along which said group of embroidery elements (A, B, C) shall be embroidered on said fabric (2) is defined by the operator of the sewing machine; said embroidery elements of said group are distributed in a spaced relationship along said curve utilizing a positioning algorithm. According to the method of the invention, a coupling between the embroidery elements of the group and the arbitrary curve is preserved during the full processing by said positioning algorithm.

摘要： The present invention is an improved method for automatically generating chain stitching in a computer aided design system in which the shape to be filled is a complex polygon. The Voronoi Diagram of the polygon is determined, concentric polygons are then constructed and sorted and the chain stitches are placed on the perimeter of the concentric polygons. The chain stitches can be used to completely fill a stitch pattern, such as an embroidery stitch pattern, or in conjunction with other stitching, such as Chenille stitching in an embroidery pattern.

摘要： In image figure processing method and apparatus, an original picture, in which inner spaces of readable outlines are painted with desired colors, is read out by an image scanner to extract boundary lines defining closed areas in the original picture. Subsequently, the average value of brightness values in each closed area is calculated for each of R, G and B components, and the average value is compared with a data table value stored in a memory to identify the attribute of each closed area. Thereafter, embroidery data are prepared to embroider the respective closed areas in the original picture so that the colors and shapes thereof match those of the original picture.
