摘要: A positively chargeable toner includes a plurality of toner particles each including a core and a shell layer disposed over a surface of the core. The core contains a polyester resin. The shell layer covers at least 40% and no greater than 80% of an area of the surface of the core, ζ(4) is greater than 0 V. ζ(6) is less than 0 V. A relationship represented by |ζ(3)−ζ(4)|>|ζ(6)−ζ(7)| is satisfied. ζ(3), ζ(4), ζ(6), and ζ(7) represent zeta potentials of the positively chargeable toner with the toner particles having no external additive. ζ(3), ζ(4), ζ(6), and ζ(7) are respectively measured in an aqueous medium at pH 3, pH 4, pH 6, and pH 7.

摘要: A method of preparing a color toner by: a) preparing an anionic polymer composite emulsion comprising wax with a wax particle and nanosilica as core by in situ emulsion polymerization; b) preparing a cationic polymer composite emulsion comprising colorant with a colorant and nanosilica as core by in situ emulsion polymerization; c) agglutinating the anionic polymer composite emulsion comprising wax and the cationic polymer composite emulsion comprising colorant; and d) filtering, washing, and drying the product obtained in c). The color toner prepared by this method. The color toner has high development density, high resolution, low bottom ash, low waste rate, and low consumption, and is easy to recover and recycle.

摘要: The present invention relates to a toner for electrophotography which has a small particle size and is excellent in all of low-temperature fusing ability, anti-hot offset property and image characteristics and a process for producing the toner, as well as to a dispersion of crosslinked resin particles which is used for production of the toner for electrophotography and a process for producing the dispersion of crosslinked resin particles. The dispersion of crosslinked resin particles having a volume median particle size (D50) of from 0.05 to 0.7 μm according to the present invention is produced by a process including the steps of (A) neutralizing a resin containing an acid group-containing polyester in an aqueous medium to obtain a dispersion of resin particles; and (B) mixing the dispersion of resin particles obtained in the step (A) with an oxazoline group-containing polymer at a temperature of from 60 to 100° C.

摘要: Provided is anon-magnetic toner including toner particles each containing at least a binder resin, a colorant, and a wax component, and an inorganic fine powder, in which: (1) when a temperature in a temperature range of 50 to 80° C. at which a loss tangent (tan δ) shows a maximum is represented by T1, a storage elastic modulus of the toner at the temperature T1 (G′(T1)) satisfies a relationship of 5.00×107≦G′(T1)≦1.00×109 (dN/m2); (2) a continuous temperature range with a width of 15° C. or more in which the loss tangent (tan δ) is 0.80 to 2.00 is present in the temperature range of 50 to 80° C.; and (3) the loss tangent (tan δ) is 1.00 or more in a temperature range of 120 to 160° C.

摘要: A charge control resin composition for positive or negative charge, which is prepared either by mixing and kneading a charge control resin for positive or negative charge with a colorant, or by mixing and kneading the above combination further with a charge control resin for opposite charge or a charge control resin composition for opposite charge; wherein colorant particles are finely dispersed as desired. The resultant mixture is mixed with a polymerizable monomer to obtain polymerizable monomer composition. Then, the polymerizable monomer composition is dispersed or emulsified in an aqueous dispersion medium containing a dispersion stabilizer, and polymerized to obtain a toner.

摘要: A functional particle is manufactured by a method including an aggregating step, a depressurizing step, and a cooling step. In the aggregating step, the functional particle is obtained by flowing a mixed slurry containing a core particle and a shell particle through a coiled pipeline while heating the mixed slurry to a glass transition temperature or higher of the core particle, to deposit the shell particles on the surface of the core particle. In the depressurizing step, the grain size of the functional particle is controlled and the coarse particle is pulverized to make the grain size of the functional particles uniform. In the cooling step, re-aggregation of the functional particles with unified grain size is prevented.
