Abstract:
An apparatus and a corresponding system for reading out X-ray information stored in a storage phosphor plate includes a reading device for irradiating the storage phosphor plate with stimulation light and for detecting emitted light excited thereby in the storage phosphor plate, and a transport device for transporting the storage phosphor plate relative to the reading device and having a roller drive and at least one roller that can be set rotating about the axis of rotation thereof by the roller drive. In order to simplify the design of the apparatus and of the system while providing as reliable a transport of the storage phosphor plate as possible, the roller includes at least one magnetic area that has a helical progression.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a digital X-ray image capturing device for easy mobility, including: a cassette having a built-in image plate; an image plate transfer device for taking the image plate out of the cassette and transferring the same to a scanning point; an image scanning device for scanning an X-ray latent image of the image plate by irradiating laser beams to the scanning point; an internal body including the image plate transfer device and the image scanning device; and an external housing surrounding the internal body. The image plate transfer device includes: a scan drum having a fastening means on a surface thereof, the fastening means being combined with an end of the image plate; at least one roller installed near the scan drum to closely wind the image plate on the surface of the scan drum; and an electric power means for applying torque to the scan drum. The slide mounting type or up-mounting type of cassette can be attached to the image plate transfer device.
Abstract:
A scanner for processing intra-oral flexible information carrier plate exposed to X-rays and an envelope for the plate. The scanner comprises housing with an opening for entering an enveloped plate. The envelope is provided with a protrusion and the opening of the scanner is provided with a shoulder. When the enveloped plate is entered in the opening the protrusion abuts the shoulder such that the plate is allowed to exit from the envelope and pass inside the housing while the envelope is retained outside the housing.
Abstract:
An apparatus (10) for reading out X-ray information stored in storage phosphor plates with an input unit, (12) for inputting a plurality of cassettes (14, 28, 32) which can be stacked one behind the other in a direction of stacking (S) within the input unit (12), has an oblong accommodation well (30) for accommodating one of the cassettes (32), the accommodation well (30) being adjacent to the input unit (12), a moving device (50) for horizontally moving the cassette (32) accommodated by the accommodation well (30) along a path of movement, and a deflection element (64, 66) for deflecting a next cassette located within the input unit (12) which is adjacent to the cassette (32) accommodated by the accommodation well (30) and projects at least partially into the path of movement, the deflection element (64, 66) being positioned and designed such that with horizontal movement of the cassette (32) located within the accommodation well (30), due to contact between the cassette (32) located within the accommodation well (30) and the next cassette (28) located within the input unit (12) a force is exerted upon the latter in the direction of stacking (S) and thus moves out of the path of movement.
Abstract:
The rack has an inclined bottom, a slightly angled upstanding back wall, a right endwall and a short front wall defining a media cassette receiving area. Upon activation by a manually operated handle a withdrawal mechanism disposed behind the back wall, containing a carriage having a finger selectively protruding therethrough urges the rearmost media cassette in the rack along the back wall until it may be grasped by an operator. Subsequent cassettes settle backward against the back wall upon withdrawal of the rearmost media cassette. Cassettes may be added to the rack forward of any media cassettes currently therein. In this way a FIFO queue is maintained regardless of the number or mix of media cassettes stored in the rack.
Abstract:
A radiation imaging cassette. The cassette includes a housing, a latch member, and guide edges. The housing is adapted to house a stimulable phosphor sheet. The housing includes a light-protected region and an opening for extraction and/or insertion of the stimulable phosphor sheet. The latch member releasably engages the stimulable phosphor sheet to secure at least a portion of the stimulable phosphor sheet within the light-protected region. The edge guides are disposed within the housing and operate to guide movement of the stimulable phosphor sheet through the opening.
Abstract:
A cassette (1) for a storage phosphor plate (2) comprises a cassette housing (4) with an opening (7) and a support (3) disposed movably within the cassette housing (4), wherein the storage phosphor plate (2) lies on the support (3). In order to simplify the structure of the cassette (1) and of the corresponding removal mechanism, provision is made such that the support (3) can be moved, together with the storage phosphor plate (2) lying on top of it, through the opening (7) of the cassette housing (4), at least partially from the inside of the cassette housing (4), and the storage phosphor plate (2) lying on the support (3) can be taken from the support (3) when the support (3) is located, with the storage phosphor plate (2) lying on top of it, at least partially outside of the cassette housing (4).
Abstract:
A device for reading out X-ray information stored in a phosphor plate for simplified and solid guiding and/or holding of phosphor plates, with at the same time a high degree of compactness, includes: a device for holding and/or conveying the phosphor plate in an orientation inclined by an inclination angle α in relation to a vertical in which the phosphor plate is flat in form; and a read-out device for reading out the flat phosphor plate inclined by the inclination angle α in relation to the vertical.
Abstract:
A method for reading radiation image information in which a cassette is lowered while keeping each short side of the cassette extending vertically, and then inserted into a radiation image reading apparatus which has a cassette loading inlet in its upper surface and the inserted cassette is taken into the apparatus, and next the front base and the back base are disengaged in the apparatus and both are separated, and after the radiation image information is read from the stimulable phosphor sheet of the back base which are separated from the front base, and then the front base and the back base are joined and ejected from the insertion opening of the apparatus. The apparatus height is smaller than in the method in which the stimulable phosphor sheet is pulled downward from the cassette and is read, and the operation of lifting the cassette against the force of gravity up to the height of the upper surface of the apparatus becomes unnecessary at the time of inserting the cassette.
Abstract:
A plurality of stacked cassettes are loaded into a cassette loader, and the cassettes loaded in the cassette loader are changed in attitude and stocked in an erected state in a stock unit. After the cassettes are processed, they are discharged in an erected state into a cassette discharger.
