    摘要: A glasses frame structure 1 contains: a body (10), a lens assembly (20), and a fixing element (30). The body (10) includes a fixer (11) made of elastic plastic material, two extensions (14), a connection protrusion (15), a limiting groove (151), and a positioning orifice (16). The fixer (11) has two first retaining units (12), and each of the two first retaining units (12) has a fastening space (121), wherein the fastening space (121) has a first tilted face (122) and a first engagement tab (123). The lens assembly (20) includes a top fringe (21), an affix projection (23) corresponding to the positioning orifice (16) so that the top fringe (21) retains with the limiting groove (16), and the affix projection (23) engages with the positioning orifice (16). The top fringe (21) has two second retaining units (22) corresponding to the two first retaining units individually, wherein said each second retaining unit (22) has a second tilted face (226) and a second engagement tab (221).

The eyeglasses include an eyepiece having a pair of lenses that may be positioned in front of a wear's eyes by an attachment assembly, which may be deformed or adjusted to secure the lenses to the wear's wrist. The design of the attachment assembly may vary according to specific needs. In one embodiment, the attachment assembly comprises temples having temple tips. The temples may be deformed to serve alternating purposes—placing the eyepiece in front of the eyes and securing the eye piece around the wear's wrist, or other body parts. The eyepiece may also include a bendable bridge that connects the two lenses. The design of the bridge may facilitate the transition of the eyepiece from one position to the other. The eyeglasses are suitable for individuals that wear eyeglasses periodically and particularly in outdoor settings.

    摘要: A pair of reduced profile glasses that pivotally hinge into a stowable position. The glasses do not fold, thereby eliminating doubling the thickness of the glasses, and increasing the required space for stowing. Rather, the glasses compress into a flattened, reduced profile position. A pair of lenses and a pair of frames join at either one or two bilateral locking hinge(s). The locking hinge may pivot at a range of 30 to 40 degrees that is efficacious for preventing the glasses from completely folding. The locking hinge compact into the reduced profile by bending inwardly and abutting against a pair of retracted support arms. The locking hinge includes at least one extending ledges/pins and at least one slits/holes for receiving the ledges/pins. Each ledge/pin engages a slit/hole to lock the glasses into the reduced profile position, or a different slit/hole to lock the glasses into an extended wearable position.

    摘要: A frame assembly for eyeglasses is provided wherein the overall width of the eyeglass frame is adjustable by utilizing a telescoping brow bar. The upper frame member or brow bar is formed to include either a pair of telescoping or indexed joints allowing the length of the brow bar to be adjusted thereby placing the hinge points and temple bars further apart from one another. The adjustable length of the brow bar provides excellent adjustability of the overall width of the eyeglass frame in simple mechanical construction. Further, in a unique method of forming the adjustable brow bar assembly a central portion may be formed in a first molding step and an adjustable hinge section is then molded directly over the central portion in a second molding step. The present invention utilizes in-mold-assembly techniques to reduce the assembly steps required to form such an adjustable brow bar assembly while further resulting in an eyeglass frame that has increased adjustability and utility.

    摘要: A novel hinge assembly for eyeglasses is provided wherein a first structural member for the hinge structure is formed in a first molding step and a second structural member of the hinge structure is formed directly over a portion of the first structural member in a second molding step. The present invention utilizes in-mold-assembly techniques to reduce the assembly steps required to form such a hinge assembly while further resulting in a hinge assembly that has increased adjustability and utility. Specifically, the overmolded components form a ball and socket type joint allowing a large degree of lateral rotation in one direction and a limited amount of freedom in a second direction. This hinge allows the temple portion of the eyeglasses to be folded against the brow bar and the inclination angle between the temples and the brow bar to be adjusted.

    摘要: The expandable and flexible bridge member is adapted for use a a part of clip-on sunglasses. It permits the sunglasses to be mounted on any eyeglasses, including those with a protruding bridge, with the bridge member of the sunglasses in alignment with the bridge of the eyeglasses. The bridge member can take the form of a uniquely shaped spring with a shrink wrapped plastic sleeve or one or more strips of elastic or rubber-like material. The bridge member is provided with a bridge engaging capability so that proper alignment is maintained with the eyeglasses bridge. The bridge engaging structure may take the form of a recess or a hook.

    摘要: A novel frame construction for eyeglasses is provided wherein the upper frame member is formed to have greatly enhanced flexibility to increase the overall adjustability, comfort and fit of the eyeglasses. The upper frame member includes areas wherein the material is selectively weakened to create predetermined flex points periodically within the frame member. Additionally, the weakened areas may be filled and/or covered with a second material that is more flexible than the base material used to form the frame member. The enhanced flexibility allows the upper frame member to flex as the temple members of the eyeglasses are stretched outwardly providing a comfortable fit for a wide range of wearers. Further, the top edge of the eyeglass lens may include formations that provide clearance for the deflection of the top frame member.
