摘要:
The invention relates to a method for maintenance of a frequency converter for driving an electric motor of a transportation device, said frequency converter being supplied with AC mains power via a contactor, and including a rectifier circuit for providing a DC supply voltage, a capacitive intermediate circuit for leveling DC supply voltage, and an inverter circuit for providing power to the electric motor. In the method, after the transportation device has been vacant for a predetermined time period, said contactor is opened to disable power flow from mains supply to the frequency converter, and a test load is connected to the intermediate circuit, parallel to a capacity of the intermediate circuit. The DC supply voltage Udc(t) is detected, and the detected DC supply voltage Udx(t) is utilized for establishing a maintenance information indicating that a maintenance should be done on the frequency converter. Another aspect of the invention is a software program realizing the method when executed on a computer.

Controller circuitry controls power supply circuitry to produce an output voltage. During operation of the power supply circuitry to produce the output voltage, the controller circuitry calculates a magnitude of capacitance of output capacitor circuitry in the power supply. According to one configuration, the controller circuitry utilizes a calculated magnitude of capacitance as a basis to adjust settings of the power supply circuitry.

A method can be used for testing a charge-retention circuit for measurement of a time interval having a storage capacitor coupled between a first biasing terminal and a floating node, and a discharge element coupled between the floating node and a reference terminal. The discharge element is configured to implement discharge of a charge stored in the storage capacitor by leakage through a corresponding dielectric. The method includes biasing the floating node at a reading voltage, detecting a biasing value of the reading voltage, implementing an operation of integration of the discharge current in the discharge element with the reading voltage kept constant at the biasing value, and determining an effective resistance value of the discharge element as a function of the operation of integration.

Methods and power conversion systems in which a capacitor degradation detection system includes an adjustable gain amplifier circuit is calibrated by automatic adjustment of at least one amplifier gain to accommodate current and voltage levels of a particular filter circuit in a first mode. Capacitance values of filter capacitors are calculated according to amplified current signals and compared with an acceptable tolerance range to selectively identify a filter capacitor fault or to store calculated capacitance values as base values in an electronic memory in the first mode. During operation in a second mode with the rectifier and inverter on, the adjusted amplifier gain is used to amplify current sensor signals and/or voltage signals, and capacitance values of the filter capacitors are used to selectively identify capacitor degradation.

A capacitor module includes a capacitor element, a first voltage terminal connected to a first pole of the capacitor element, and a second voltage terminal connected to a second pole of the capacitor element. The capacitor module further includes a cooling duct system for cooling the capacitor element, and a housing encapsulating the capacitor element and the cooling duct system. The housing comprises wiring lead-throughs for the first and second voltage terminals and piping lead-throughs for the cooling duct system. As the capacitive module is encapsulated and includes the cooling ducts and the wiring and piping lead-throughs, modular capacitive energy-storages of different sizes can be built by interconnecting capacitor modules of the kind described above, and there is no need to build separately an encapsulation provided with cooling ducts.
