摘要: An automatic hysteresis compensated method of level measuring a liquid in a tank includes providing an electromechanical liquid level gauge including a controller with a processor, a displacer on a wire from a measuring drum with a motor, where the processor controls a movement of the motor and executes a level gauging algorithm. A measured force displacer position (FS) profile is provided including a move-down FS curve determining Fd, Sd corresponding to a displacer center when moving down and a move-up FS curve to determine Fu, Su corresponding the displacer center when moving up. The algorithm provided a time derivative of F is essentially zero, initiates performing a down/up dip of the displacer moving the displacer down/up to below/above the liquid level, then moving the displacer up/down passing Su/Sd, then moving the displacer to return to Sd/Su, and determining the current liquid level from Fd/Fu upon the return to Sd/Su.

摘要: Fill level monitoring relates to a method for controlling the fill level of a collecting vessel, wherein the collecting vessel could be filled with a dielectric medium. A fill level is monitored by a monitoring circuit with a measuring capacitor, the capacity of which changes steadily in correlation with the fill level, at least beyond a fill level range of the collecting vessel. The method includes: determining a capacity of the measuring capacitor; determining the quality of the measuring capacitor; determining a permittivity of the dielectric medium on the basis of the quality of the measuring capacitor; determining a fill level of the collecting vessel on the basis of the determined capacity of the measuring capacitor and the permittivity of the dielectric medium; and fill level-dependent drainage of the dielectric medium from the collecting vessel.

摘要: An apparatus and method improve the accuracy of measurements taken with a capacitance-type sensor. In addition to the sensor the apparatus comprises a measurement circuit and a microprocessor. One of the sensor or a calibration capacitor with a known and fixed capacitance is connectable to the measurement circuit by a switch that has its position controlled by the microprocessor. The microprocessor sends measurement signals to the measurement circuit and receives data therefrom. According to the disclosed method, the measurement circuit is programmed to determine an error between measured calibration data and the known capacitance and to use this error to calculate a correction value, which it applies to the measured sensor data to calculate corrected sensor measurements.

摘要: A liquid consumption device includes a replaceable liquid container, a sensor, a fault finding section, an estimation section and a determination section. The sensor detects whether or not liquid has reached a predetermined amount. The fault finding section finds whether there is a fault in the sensor. The estimation section calculates an estimated value of a consumption amount of the liquid. The determination section carries out determination based on the estimated value of the liquid container and a threshold value which is specified based on threshold value information when a fault in the sensor has been found. The determination section carries out the determination based on the sensor when a fault in the sensor has not been found and to calculate the threshold value information based on the estimation value when the sensor detects that the liquid has reached the predetermined amount.

摘要: The amount of processing liquid consumed from the processing liquid in the tank is calculated based on the history of opening and closing events of one or more of the valves, and that the anomaly detection controller of the substrate processing apparatus generates a level sensor failure alarm if the calculated amount of consumed processing liquid has increased beyond a state transition liquid consumption amount and yet the level sensor has not switched from the first state to the second state. The substrate processing apparatus and the level sensor are designed so that the level sensor switches from the first state to the second state when the calculated amount of consumed processing liquid has increased beyond the state transition liquid consumption amount.

摘要: A system for monitoring a liquid level in an aircraft shock strut includes a cylinder having an internal chamber sealed by a piston telescopically movable within the cylinder. The chamber contains a gas and a liquid, and a sensor assembly is provided for monitoring a condition of a level of the liquid in the chamber. The sensor assembly includes at least one probe within the chamber, and a fitting assembly allows one or more leads from the probe to pass through the wall of the strut while maintaining pressure in the chamber. The fitting assembly includes a plug molded to the one or more leads extending from the probe. The fitting assembly also includes a retainer for holding the plug in sealed relationship with a through passage in the strut.

摘要: A continuous measurement of the level of contents in a container is effected by a level measuring device functioning in accordance with the transit time principle by means of waves transmitted from a position located above the highest possible contents level onto the surface of the material in the container. A measuring circuit determines the contents level from the transit time of the useful echo reflected from the material surface. In addition, one or more limit sensors are located at the container, each of which furnishes a signal indicating whether the contents level is above or below a level to be monitored by the limit sensor and which is situated between the minimum and maximum contents levels of the container. The measuring circuit receives the output signals of all limit sensors and uses these output signals to check and eventually to correct the contents level measured value determined by the level measuring device. In particular, the measuring result furnished by the level measuring device can be compared with an exact contents level value every time the contents level reaches the level monitored by a limit sensor whereby the level indication of the limit sensor changes its status. In certain cases, a single limit sensor is sufficient for this purpose, which monitors a contents level which is regularly exceeded or undershot in the normal use of the container.
