The tool may also be used to measure distances on the ground or the height of various objects. The tool includes a handle with a tool attachment, such as a shovel or hoe blade, affixed to the proximal end of the handle. The tool has multiple lines of measurement markings across the front or back of the handle and attachment. These lines may start at the tip of the attachment and continue sequentially to the distal end of the handle. There may also be an additional line of measurement markings on the back of the handle with a starting point at the distal end of the handle. The attachment itself also may be marked with one or more lines of measurement markings on the front or back of the attachment.

    摘要: A trip hazard measurement gauge is, except for a measurement module and display, constructed primarily of aluminum. A cylindrical tube has an upper straight section and a lower straight section that are interconnected by a curved section. The upper straight section and the lower straight section form an obtuse angle. A cylindrical aluminum housing is connected to the tube via a conical connecter piece. A non-movable foot is rigidly connected to the cylindrical housing. A measurement module is installed within the cylindrical housing. A slidable rule, to which a movable foot is attached to a lower end thereof, extends from the measurement module. A return spring ensures that the movable foot returns to its lowermost position. After turning ON the display, selecting the measurement system and zeroing the gauge, it is ready to measure differences in elevation between adjacent sidewalk slabs.

    摘要: A trip hazard measurement gauge has an outer tube with a stationary foot secured to a lower end thereof, and an inner tube slidable within the outer tube and extending through an upper end of the latter. The inner tube has a slidable foot secured to a lower end thereof and a ruler secured to an upper end thereof. The inner tube is spring biased in a downwardly direction. With the inner tube positioned at its downward limit, the stationary foot and the movable foot are equiplanar and the ruler is hidden inside the outer tube. An estimator measures a difference in elevation between two adjacent concrete slabs by placing the slidable foot on an adjoining edge of the uppermost slab and pushing down on the outer tube until the stationary foot contacts the lowermost slab. The ruler, extending upwardly from the outer tube, indicates the difference in elevation.

    摘要: The present invention is directed to automated apparatuses and methods for measuring fastener hole depth, fastener length, countersink depth and/or hole diameters in a workpiece (or other object) in an automated and extremely rapid, efficient and accurate manner. The apparatuses may be operably connected with a power source and with one or a plurality of computers or other data collection devices to transmit fastener hole depth, countersink depth and/or hole diameter measurement data and/or information to them each time that a fastener hole is measured, while the apparatus is continuously measuring fastener holes (i.e., with no interruptions). Extremely advantageously, using only one hand, and by only squeezing a trigger only one time, an operator of such an apparatus may successfully and very rapidly and accurately perform more than one, or all three, of the following functions: (i) normalize the apparatus relative to one or a plurality of fastener holes and/or workpiece surfaces; (ii) make one or a plurality of accurate measurements; and (iii) transmit the one or more measurements from the apparatus to one or a plurality of computers and/or other data collection devices for, for example, recordation, storage, manipulation, other use and/or the like.

    摘要: A measuring device is adapted for determining a safety thread length LS of a fastener required for fastening a wheel onto a wheel hub unit. The measuring device includes an elongated measuring rod, a positioning member secured to a front end of the measuring rod and configured to abut against a circumferential abutment seat of the wheel, and a plurality of modular sleeves, each configured to be sleevably positioned on and matched up with the measuring rod. Subsequent to bringing the positioning member to abut against the circumferential abutment seat, the modular sleeve is dragged forwardly until a front sleeve end reaches an inner major surface of the wheel, and LS is determined to be equal to the distance between the front end and a rear sleeve end of the modular sleeve.
