    摘要: The device for forwarding large-caliber shells to a heavy weapon, especially in an armored howitzer, wherein the shells are laid in a readiness tray that can be displaced horizontally along a forwarding path and the mechanism on the readiness tray axially brakes and fixes any shell laid therein. A shell support supports the shell in the vicinity of its ogive. The shell support is mounted on a supporting-lever rod in the form of an articulated-lever system that can be lowered against the force of a spring. The system's descent can be blocked by a locking mechanism. The blocking mechanism is provided with a pawl at one end of the system's second supporting lever. The pawl engages a notched rod that can be raised and lowered. The upward and downward motions of the rod are controlled by a skate that travels over a control strip while the tray is being displaced. The strip is positioned stationary below the tray.

    摘要: A dual loading and stowage apparatus for handling a pair of cylindrical bes, such as a pair of missiles, torpedoes, or projectiles. The apparatus includes an elongated base, and a pair of elongated trays which are positioned in tandem above the base and parallel thereto for receiving the cylindrical bodies. A device slidably mounts the trays for lateral movement on the base so that each tray can be selectively centered above the base for off-loading purposes. Each of the trays is pivoted to the mounting device along an inner edge so as to be capable of pivoting between downward and upward positions. The lateral dimension of the pair of trays in their downward positions is greater than the lateral dimension of the base, however, when one of the trays is pivoted to its upward position the lateral dimension of the trays is less than the lateral dimension of the base. With this arrangement, after unloading one of the cylindrical bodies from the apparatus, the unloaded tray can be pivoted upwardly and the loaded tray can be moved inwardly until the lateral space taken by the apparatus is minimized.

    摘要: At an armored vehicle containing a firing weapon, such as for instance a cannon, there is required an automatic loading apparatus, by means of which the rounds of ammunition or projectiles can be automatically infed to the firing weapon from an ammunition magazine arranged behind an armored turret of the armored vehicle. The loading apparatus removes the projectiles from two different containers. This loading apparatus comprises two withdrawal or removal devices, two pivot devices, a rotatable table containing two cartridge receiving locations or stations as well as an ammunition infeed device. This ammunition device comprises a lifting or hoisting device, a loading cradle or shell and a rammer.

    摘要: A missile support and alignment assembly for use on a moving vehicle having a fixed missile launch tube mounted thereon. The assembly comprises a missile support assembly including (i) a loading tray for supporting a missile, (ii) a storage structure for supporting the loading tray, and (iii) mounts resiliently connecting the storage structure to the vehicle. The missile support and alignment assembly further comprises an alignment assembly including (i) indicator means on the launch tube, (ii) a sensor on the tray for reading a position of the indicator means, the sensor being adapted to send a signal indicative of position of the tray, and thereby a missile on the tray, relative to the indicator means, and thereby the launch tube, (iii) a control device adapted to receive the sensor signals and compute movement of the tray necessary to align the missile with the launch tube, the control device being adapted to send corrective signals, and (iv) alignment motors mounted on the storage structure for receiving the control device signals and for moving the tray relative to the launch tube to bring the missile in the tray into alignment with the launch tube.

    摘要: A tank turret magazine system includes a circulating primary magazine, an additional magazine, and a transfer mechanism for moving ammunition containers between the magazines. The additional magazine provides increased storage capacity without increasing the length or width of the turret and without sacrificing automatic operation of the primary magazine. The additional magazine and the transfer mechanism are preferably disposed below the primary magazine. For a direct exchange of ammunition containers from the one magazine to the other magazine, the transfer mechanism includes two transfer levers which are pivotal about an axis and which are able to grip pivot pins mounted on both sides of the ammunition containers. The additional magazine may be configured as a single-row static magazine. In this embodiment, the transporting levers are arranged so as to be displaceable, by way of a carriage, in the longitudinal direction of the magazine system for exchange of any desired container from the lowermost row of the primary magazine. If the additional magazine is configured as a double-row circulating magazine, the axis of the transporting levers need not be moved longitudinally and the carriage may be omitted.
