摘要: Provided is a method of signalling energy usage to a user of a hot water outlet of a hot water supply system, the hot water supply system including: a thermal energy store that is supplied with energy from a source of renewable energy; a renewable energy source; an auxiliary water heater coupled to a networked energy supply; a flow transducer operable, when a water flow passes through the hot water outlet, to provide flow rate data for the water flow; and a processor coupled to the flow transducer; the hot water supply system being operable, under the control of the processor, to heat water that is to be supplied to the hot water outlet to a target system supply temperature using a selection of one or more of the auxiliary water heater, the renewable energy source, and energy from the thermal energy store.

摘要: A controller for a painting assembly is provided. The controller includes at least one processor to set a threshold temperature to heat components of the painting assembly. The threshold temperature is set based on a carbon footprint in the painting assembly. The processor controls a first heater to generate the heat for a first duration for the components of the painting assembly. The first duration is determined based on the set threshold temperature. The processor compares a temperature of the components of the painting assembly with the set threshold temperature to determine a state of heat of the components of the painting assembly. The processor further controls a second heater to generate the heat for a second duration for the components of the painting assembly. The second duration is determined based on the comparison.

摘要: An electrical power distribution control system configured to issue a demand response signal to cut power to a plurality of electrical power consuming loads within an electrical power distribution network to reduce a peak power demand within an electrical power grid during a peak power demand. Unlike conventional demand response systems, the controller in each consumer residence includes both a distributed control based on the ability to track individual 24 hour usage patterns and selectively delay the demand response signal on individual resistive heating loads based on usage patterns for the purpose of reducing a likelihood of consumers experiencing effects of the reduced peak power demand.

摘要: An energy meter apparatus includes a sensing unit including a first temperature sensor configured to measure temperature of the fluid at a first boundary of the system and a processing-reporting unit comprising a second temperature sensor configured to measure temperature of the fluid at a second boundary of the system. One or both of a flow sensor and a pressure sensor is included in one of the sensing unit and the processing-reporting unit, and the pressure sensor is included in one of the sensing units and the processing-reporting unit. The processing-reporting unit is configured to establish and maintain a first wireless communication channel for communication with the sensing unit. The sensing unit is configured to report sensor measurements to the processing-reporting unit via the wireless communication channel.
