Abstract:
A burner assembly system is disposed in a rear side, i.e. back side, of a deep fryer. The burner assembly system includes an aperture disposed in a side of a bottom portion at the rear of a fryer cabinet of the controlled deep fryer. A burner at the rear of the fryer cabinet is coupled to the aperture and is adapted to receive fuel that enters through the aperture. An ignition assembly is disposed within the burner and ignites the received fuel. A flue is disposed at the rear of and within the fryer cabinet and receives combustion gases and heat from the burner created by the ignition of fuel. A heat exchanger is disposed within the flue at the rear of the fryer cabinet and is heated by heat conveyed through the flue from the ignition of fuel in the burner.
Abstract:
An oxy-acetylene cutting torch tip cleaner includes an elongated body portion with at least one actuator and at least one associated housing bore for storing a cleaning pin. Each cleaning pin is coupled to an actuator movable from a first position with the cleaning pin contained in the housing bore to a second position with the cleaning pin extending from the housing bore, for abrading and cleaning the cutting torch tip. Each actuator, coupled to its cleaning pin with a slider, is biased to the first position and a lock engages each actuator in the second position such that when the lock is disengaged from the actuator at the second position with the cleaning tip extended from the body, the actuator automatically returns to the first position thereby retracting the cleaning pin back into the housing bore.
Abstract:
Pilot light gas line connector assemblies and methods for cleaning a pilot light orifice are disclosed herein. An exemplary connector assembly for coupling to a pilot light gas line and cleaning a pilot orifice has a first fitting end, a second fitting end, and a passageway therebetween. The first fitting end is adapted to receive a first end of the pilot light gas line and the second fitting end is adapted to receive a valve capable of directing forced air from a forced air source into the second fitting end. Methods of cleaning a pilot orifice of a pilot light system include removing the pilot light gas line from a gas port and coupling the pilot light gas line to a pilot light gas line connector assembly. Then forced air is directed into the connector assembly and through the pilot light gas line, thereby cleaning the pilot orifice.
Abstract:
There is provided a burner assembly for burning fuel in which the housing contains a nozzle orifice and a cleaning needle moveable into and out of the orifice. The needle is provided with permanent magnetic characteristics and is between a pair of movable magnets, which can be rotated to change poles so as to move the needle into and out of the orifice.
Abstract:
A method of cleaning a gas inlet nozzle of an abatement burner combustion chamber. The abatement burner intermittently receives gas for combustion from a feed process. The nozzle comprises a cleaning mechanism including a movable cleaning member for physically removing unwanted deposits from the nozzle. The cleaning member is movable from a retracted first position wherein the cleaning member is outside a path of a flame associated with the nozzle, to a second cleaning position wherein the cleaning member is in a path of the flame associated with the nozzle. The method comprises the steps of:
a. identifying when the nozzle is out of use; b. moving the cleaning member from the first position to the second position while the nozzle is out of use; and c. returning the cleaning member to the first position before nozzle is in use.
Abstract:
The present invention intends to provide an improved combustion apparatus with a low risk of a fire and an explosion, in which a nozzle is prevented from being blocked with dust contained in dry distillation gas so that backfiring would not be caused. A combustion apparatus for treating dry distillation gas is thus constructed with a gas pipe for supplying a combustion chamber with dry distillation gas generated during a waste treatment by means of dry distillation and an air pipe for supplying a front edge of the gas pipe with combustion air, wherein the air pipe is placed inside the gas pipe to construct a coaxial double pipe so that it forms a circular combustion nozzle at the front edge of the gas pipe.
Abstract:
A self cleaning port system and method provides for removal of ash deposits and build-up from around a port opening in a combustion device such as an industrial or utility furnace or boiler. The self cleaning port system includes a port structure for providing communication between a source of injected material and an interior portion of the combustion device. The port structure can be a burner for injecting fuel and air, an overfire air port, a flue gas recirculation port, a reburning port for injecting a reburning fuel, a pollutant emission control port for injecting NO.sub.x or SO.sub.2 reduction agents, or other types of ports. A blowing member such as a lance is disposed within or formed as part of the port structure and is configured to discharge a blowing medium so as to remove ash deposits adjacent to the port opening. The blowing medium is discharged from the blowing member such that the blowing medium is directed outwardly away from the port opening.
Abstract:
A fuel combuster such as a torch tip, having means therein for cleaning the orifice of the tip, as well as a method of cleaning such an orifice. The combustion device comprises a metallic elongated tube having a forward section terminating in a front end, a middle section and a rearward section, the middle section communicating at its respective ends with the forward section and the rearward section. The rearward section is adapted, suitably at its rearward end, for connection to a source of combustible gas, and is suitably provided with axially positioned fuel jet means for injecting combustible gas into the tube and with apertures for intake of combustion supporting gas to be mixed with the combustible gas. The fuel jet means includes an orifice having an elongated wire passing therethrough. Movement of the wire loosens any dirt in the orifice.
Abstract:
A tool for holding a torch tip and a blank cartridge respective to one another so that the blank cartridge can be detonated and the high-velocity gases issuing therefrom used to clean out the flow passageways of the torch tip.
