Abstract:
A hose guide having a base with a back side, a front side and a hose receiving orifice. A receiver extends from the front side of the base. The receiver has a terminal end that communicates an interior surface and an exterior surface. The terminal end may define a plurality of fillets. A roller assembly is affixed to the back side the base. The roller assembly supports a plurality of rollers for engaging an external surface of a hose. When installed, the hose guide of the invention is flush with a sealing surface, such as a panel, for providing a sealing surface therewith. Rollers are provided for reducing damage to a hose passing therethrough. Use of a complementary shaped stopper helps to prevent an ingress of water and dust through the hose guide, e.g., into a hose reel containing compartment.
Abstract:
An excavator machine with a side mounted silt fence installing tool mounted below the swivel. The excavator has a swiveling and articulating tool and an operator's seat above the swivel. An articulating arm is attached above the swivel so the operator may operate swiveling and articulating tool in a coordinated way with the silt fence installer to accomplish a job more efficiently than it could be accomplished using tools separately mounted one at a time.
Abstract:
A mining machine includes a boom having an interior chamber, a saddle block coupled to the boom, a handle slidably coupled to the saddle block, and a reel system disposed at least partially within the chamber.
Abstract:
A deployment system is utilized to deploy an overboard pump over the side of an offshore rig or vessel. A reel of hose with an overboard pump is securable to an end of the reel of hose. A bend restrictor supports the hose as the hose bends downwardly for deployment in water. The bend restrictor is mounted for movement with respect to the reel whereby the bend restrictor is movable away from the reel, preferably along a fixed and predetermined path, to a deployment position to permit the overboard pump and the hose to be deployed into the water over the side of the offshore rig. The bend restrictor is also movable to a non-deployed position such that the hose guide is above the rig floor where the pump may be serviced.
Abstract:
Disclosed are apparatus and method for delivering oxygen from an oxygen supply to a person in a convenient, sanitary and organized manner. The oxygen delivery system includes a rail attached to a surface of the room and a sliding trolley attached to the rail. An oxygen supply tube is attached to the oxygen supply and the trolley for transferring oxygen from the oxygen supply to the trolley. The system enables the person to move to various locations in the room while receiving oxygen from the oxygen supply through the oxygen supply tube, the trolley, a drop tube and a nasal cannula, or other breathing device connected to the trolley. The person may guide the trolley around the room by pulling the drop tube in the desired direction of travel.
Abstract:
A cable guide device for a manhole includes a wall supporting plate supported against a wall surface of an entrance part of the manhole, a cable guide body positioned at the bottom part of the wall supporting plate, a rotation shaft mounted vertically to the cable guide body and the wall supporting plate so that the cable guide body can be rotated from side to side with regard to the wall supporting plate, and at least one guide roller which rotates integrally with a roller shaft combined with the cable guide body so as to guide the cable into at least one underground pipe.
Abstract:
A system for remotely controlling the un-reeling and take-up of a hose on a reel that is primarily designed to be used in combination with a crane truck upon which the reel would be mounted. A turntable platform that is rotatable about a vertical axis is supported on a base secured to the bed of the truck. A telescoping boom assembly has its bottom end pivotally secured to support structure on the turntable platform. A hydraulic lift cylinder assembly is mounted on the turntable platform and its top end is secured to the telescoping boom assembly for raising and lowering it. The novel reel is mounted on the turntable platform and it has a hose having its bottom end coiled thereon. The hose has a high pressure pneumatic line running through its interior and this is surrounded by a plurality of medium delivery lines. A pair of fiber optic lines are also inside the hose and their bottom ends are connected to a base modem and their top ends are connected to a satellite modem. The high pressure line is connected to an air compressor and its top end has a connection to which different pneumatic power tools can be attached. The medium delivery lines are connected to containers such as paint, pesticides, oxygen, etc. The top ends of the lines have connections to which tools can be attached. An insulated boom extension is connected to the top boom section and it has a sheave mounted adjacent its top end. The hose passes over the sheave and drops downwardly to a connection housing which houses the satellite modem and the connections for the auxiliary medium delivery lines. An operator is supported on a tree saddle that is clipped to the connection housing. The operator has a control console that he connects to the satellite modem and this would put him in control of the various actions he wishes to occur.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for excavation characterized by a rotary excavator, a line feeding mud slurry to the zone of excavation, a line removing soil entrained in mud slurry from the excavation zone, means for raising and lowering the rotary excavator, reels for properly coiling the slurry feeding and removing lines, guides for preventing kinking of the lines, separating the soil in a separation means and recirculating the separated mud slurry via the mud feeding line to the excavation zone.
