The method of using a bonnet and stuffing box assembly can comprise providing a stuffing box, a bonnet, a bushing assembly, and a stem, the stuffing box and the bonnet defining an assembly bore, the bushing assembly received in the assembly bore, the bushing assembly defining a bushing bore, and the stem received through the bushing bore; sealing the stem relative to the bushing assembly to prohibit fluid flow through the bushing bore; sealing the bushing assembly relative to the bonnet to prohibit fluid flow through the assembly bore; and turning the stem relative to the bushing assembly, bonnet, and stuffing box to actuate a valve.

    摘要: Fluid valve actuator apparatus having internal tubing and anti-rotation features are disclosed. An example actuator apparatus includes an actuator casing and a diaphragm plate disposed within the actuator casing. The diaphragm plate defines a first pressure chamber and a second pressure chamber opposite the first pressure chamber. A yoke couples the actuator casing to a fluid valve. The yoke includes a first internal fluid passageway in fluid communication with atmosphere and a second internal fluid passageway to receive a control fluid from a controller. A tube fluidly couples the first or second internal fluid passageway to the first pressure chamber via an opening in the diaphragm plate. The tube also prevents the diaphragm plate from rotating relative to the actuator casing.

    摘要: A propane tank safety device and a method are provided which permit service personnel or others to easily install the device on a tank such as a propane tank. In the preferred embodiment, the device includes a male protective cap and a female receiver that cooperate together to block and lock an outlet stem of a tank service valve. The protective cap comprises a stem attached to a dome. Housed within the protective cap is a lock such as a plug cylinder lock. The lock includes a latch that, in the extended and locked position, protrudes outwardly from the stem. The bottom surface of the dome of the protective cap has a longitudinally extending lip that is shaped to completely cover a top surface of the receiver. The receiver has a top and a bottom and a longitudinally extending bore therein opening to the top, an interior surface and an exterior surface. The exterior surface is partially threaded to match the ASME standard thread used in the outlet stem of a propane tank valve. The interior surface of the receptor forms the walls of the bore and has a ridge extending radially towards the center to receive the latch of the lock housed within the protective cap. In a second embodiment, the bore of the receptor has a groove extending throughout the circumference of the interior surface of the receptor. The groove is large enough and deep enough to receive the latch. The ridge or groove cooperates with the latch to prevent the locked device from being withdrawn from the outlet stem.

    摘要: In the direct-acting valve of the present invention, no flange is formed in the valve box and the piping is achieved by interposing the valve box between pipe flanges. The direct acting valve includes: a driving section that operates by sensing a primary pressure or a secondary pressure; and a valve body communicating with the driving section to open and close a flow path. A valve box of the valve is positioned between pipe flanges tightened by bolts and nuts. Connecting end portions to be mated with pipe flanges respectively have an inlet and an outlet of the flow path, and each of the end portions is formed to have a smaller diameter than that of the pipe flange. A cover flange neck is extended upward from the valve box is formed so as to be interposed between the bolts B and B1 which are provided between the pipe flanges and adjacent to each other on the circumference of the pipe flanges.

    摘要: A throttle control device has a throttle body (TB) in which an intake passage (1a) is formed. A throttle valve (2) is rotatably arranged within the intake passage. A motor (4) rotates the throttle valve. The throttle body has a gear accommodating chamber (19), in which is arranged gear mechanism (35). The gear mechanism transmits the rotation of the motor to the throttle valve, and has at least one gear (14). A shaft (34; 134) rotatably supports the gear. The shaft is a unitary member formed integrally on a wall surface (1b, 18b) of the gear accommodating chamber in a cantilever fashion. The shaft may have first shaft portion (34a) formed integrally on first wall surface (1b) of the gear accommodating chamber in a cantilever fashion and second shaft portion (34b) formed integrally on a second wall surface (18a) of the gear accommodating chamber in a cantilever fashion.
