Abstract: Disclosed is a coating method for a vehicle shift fork. In particular, an amorphous coating layer is formed on a pad part of the vehicle shift fork by using high velocity oxygen fuel spraying (HVOF) method. Also disclosed is a shift fork with an amorphous coating layer formed by the coating method. The coating method for a vehicle shift fork comprises: preparing a Fe—Cr—Mo-based composition such as a powder; pretreating the shift fork by washing a pad part of the shift fork to remove impurities; forming a coating layer on the pad part using the Fe—Cr—Mo-based powder by high velocity oxygen fuel spraying (HVOF) method; and cooling the coating layer at a rate of about 106 to about 108 K/s to form an amorphous coating layer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a shift fork (10) for a vehicular transmission. The shift fork (10) utilizes a hub portion (12) from which an offset arm (16) extends radially outwardly to terminate in an outer end portion (18). One or more contact pads (22 and 44) are supported from the outer end portion (18) of the offset arm (16), and the tines (20) extending from the offset arm (16). The contact pads (22 and 44) present longitudinally facing wear surfaces (24 and 46). Each of the longitudinally oriented wear surfaces (24 and 46) has an angularly inclined portion (32 and 48). The inclined portions (32 and 48) each diverge outwardly at an angle (phi or theta) which equals the angle at which the offset arm (16), or each tine (20), deflects at the location along the contact pads (22 and/or 44) where each wear surface (24 and/or 46) is subjected to a predetermined load.

Abstract: A transmission device includes a shaft and two idler gears having gear toothings arranged coaxially with respect to an axis of rotation of the shaft and axially next to each other on the shaft. A switch element is fixed against rotation and arranged axially shiftably in relation to a first idler gear. With regard to the axis of rotation of the shaft, the switch element extends axially from between the two gear toothings up to a side of the first idler gear facing away from the second idler gear. The first idler gear has a passage through which the switch element passes in the axial direction. The switch element has a first switch toothing arranged axially between the idler gears and a second switch toothing arranged on the side of the first idler gear facing away from the second idler gear. The first switch toothing is connected to the second switch toothing in a manner fixed against rotation.

Abstract: The insert molding device provides a lead groove communicating with a clearance between a cavity and an inserted workpiece in a mold used for molding a plastic coating on part of the workpiece so that excess molten plastic enters the lead groove. Abstract: A multiple speed, sliding gear transmission characterized by the provision of shift forks carried by a shift rail and having tynes extending into proximity with synchronizing clutch mechanisms. Each tyne defines a notch in which a pad is retained, the pad having a crowned surface engageable with a clutch mechanism for effecting movement thereof along an axis. The crowned surface rolls along the surface of the clutch mechanism to shift the point of engagement toward the axis passing through the center of rotation of the clutch mechanism as the shift fork is deflected under load to reduce bending forces on the clutch mechanism to a minimum.
