    摘要: A mobile robot (for example, a robot used for package deliveries, among other purposes) may include a mast with a visual indicator for providing visibility to drivers and pedestrians in the environment proximate to the mobile robot. The mast may produce a large moment arm, which may result in the mast being more likely to break off from the robot. To mitigate or prevent damage to any components of the mast and/or the mobile robot when such a breakage occurs, described herein is an omni directional breakage joint that is used to connect the mast to the mobile robot. The omni directional breakage joint comprises multiple ball and socket joints that provide structural support between the mast and the mobile robot, while simultaneously allowing for a certain movement freedom of the mast and allowing for the mast to easily be engaged and disengaged from the mobile robot without causing damage to any components.

    摘要: A clamping mechanism embodying the invention may be disposed between a swivel ball and a housing overlying the ball for selectively locking or unlocking the swivel ball relative to the housing. The clamping mechanism includes first and second gears mounted on a compression screw with rotational forces being selectively applied to the first and second gears via respective first and second gear-pawl assemblies. The rotational forces cause vertical (up/down) motion along the screw which increases or decreases the pressure exerted between the housing and the swivel ball which effectively may be used to lock (clamp) or unlock (unclamp) the swivel ball relative to the housing.

    摘要: The ball socket assembly includes a housing that is made of a monolithic piece which includes a lower wall. A ball portion of a ball stud is disposed in an inner bore of the housing. An exit bearing, which is made of a polymeric material, is disposed in the inner bore and is in slidable contact with at least one hemisphere of the ball portion. The exit bearing has an upper surface which faces towards an open end of the housing. A cover plate is in direct contact with the upper surface of the exit bearing along a surface-to-surface contact area. The surface-to-surface contact area is angled towards the open end from its radially outermost end to its radially innermost end for supporting the exit bearing against radial expansion in response to axial loads being applied on the exit bearing from the ball portion of the ball stud.

    摘要: A connecting rod has a big end bearing eye for attachment to a crankshaft, a small end bearing eye for attachment to a piston of a cylinder, and an eccentric adjusting device for adjusting an effective connecting rod length. The eccentric adjusting device has eccentric rods (15, 16) with first ends that engage on an eccentric lever of the eccentric adjusting device and second ends that engage on pistons (20, 21) guided in hydraulic chambers of the connecting rod. The second ends of the eccentric rods (15, 16) are spherical heads that engage in a corresponding recess (40) in the respective piston (20, 21), and the respective piston (20, 21) further accommodates a retention element (41), one segment of which rests on the spherical-headed end of the respective eccentric rods (15, 16).

    摘要: A ball joint has a dust cover fitted onto the outer periphery of a socket formed into the shape of a cylinder with a bottom. The socket has a dust cover groove into which a socket-fitting portion of the dust cover is fitted, and a dust cover-recieving surface for supporting a socket-facing surface of the dust cover. The dust cover-recieving surface inclines toward the socket-facing surface while extending from the outer side toward the inner side. Radial projections are formed on the inner peripheral surface of the socket-fitting portion of the dust cover. An axial projection which projects toward the dust cover-recieving surface is formed on the socket-facing surface of the dust cover.
