摘要： A method for connecting at least a first component and a second component together, wherein each said component comprises at least one keyway arrangement extending along the component and keyways of the keyway arrangement are spaced apart from one another. The method comprises the steps of: aligning the keyway arrangements of the first and second components such that the keyways intermesh to provide a continuous keyway passage extending longitudinally between the intermeshed keyways; and, extending a keyway connector comprising an arrangement of keys longitudinally within the continuous keyway passage such that the keys are retained by the keyways of the keyway arrangements. In the slip flange assembly 1001 embodiment shown, the first and second components are each in the form of a pipe (1002, 1003) or tube, the keyway arrangements are in the form of collars (1004, 1008) that extend around abutting ends of said pipes (1002, 1003) or tubes, and the keyway connector (1015) is annular.

The head tongue (22) is preassembled in the groove (20) and projects beyond an end of the groove (20) that faces the longitudinal side (5) of the unit panel (1). At the same time, the head tongue (22) in the preassembled state is embedded completely within the groove (20) and can be displaced at least partially from one groove (20) into the corresponding groove (19) of the adjacent unit panel (1) by sliding the projecting end (24) of the head tongue (22) into the groove (20).

摘要： A panel connector for interconnecting adjacent panels, wherein the panels have one or more flanges each having an edge. The connector comprises a portion of sheet material arranged to extend from the edge of the panel with a curved profile having an inner end adjacent the edge of the panel and an outer end. In transverse cross section, the curved profile includes a first portion extending from the inner end in a generally elliptical path and a second portion extending from the first portion to the outer end. The second portion curves inwardly from the generally elliptical path and the curved profile of the connector curves through at least 360 degrees. The second portion defines an opening between the inner end and the outer end to receive a portion of a further connector on an adjacent panel of the same shape.

摘要： Disclosed herein is a compound joint in which a lower section and an upper section are mated along a common contact plane. Means for positively interlocking the sections are provided in each section. A depressed area on the surface of each of the sections is oriented along the common contact plane, such that when the sections are interlocked, the depressed areas form an enclosed tube. A spreader tube comprising a metal that undergoes cold work hardening during expansion can be positioned within the enclosed tube, whereby the expansion of the spreader tube within the enclosed tube to a volume larger than the volume of the enclosed tube causes said interlocked sections to be permanently jointed.

摘要： A device for releasably coupling together various objects includes a first profiled tube mounted on a first object, a second profiled tube mounted on a second object to be coupled together with the first object, and a locking rod. The tubes are essentially identical at least in their cross section and have a longitudinal open slot with smaller width than the cross section of the tubes. For coupling, a first circumferential portion of the first tube is inserted through the slot in the second tube, while a circumferential portion of the second tube is inserted through the slot in the first tube. Inside each tube the circumferential portion of the coacting tube is brought into contact with a portion of the interior boundary surface of the respective tube, so that the two tubes will form a sleeve-like unit. The locking rod is inserted into a cavity in this unit to lock the two tubes to each other.

摘要： A plurality of at least two plate or panel-type members are formed with edge portions which hook together to define a key-forming passage therebetween, with tongue-and-groove type interlocks directed laterally from the elements defining both sides of the passage. The passage is filled with initially flowable, solidified key-forming material injected therein under pressure sufficient to cause the injected material to flow along and fill all, or one or more selected portions of the passage. The elements of the panels defining such passage are so formed that the pressurized, injected material tends to expand the passage, and thereby urge adjacent edges of the two panels toward abutting relation with each other, whereby further expansion of the passage is prevented. Upon solidifying, the injected material comprises a key, which interlocks the panels and seals the joint therebetween.
