A trailer and fuel tank assembly are disclosed. The fuel tank preferably forms the body of the trailer. The fuel tank may include a recess in the top surface for receiving the motor and/or pump, which may lower the pump closer to the ground to increase the suction performance of the pump. The bottom surface of the fuel tank may be bowed upward. This may cause any contaminants in the fuel tank to collect along the edges of the tank. Drain ports, positioned near the edges of the tank, can then be used to drain the contaminants from the tank. To easily attach accessories to the trailer, one or more track bars may be mounted to the trailer body. The track bars preferably include an elongate channel and an elongate slot. By placing an insert inside of the channel and bolting the accessory to the insert through the longitudinally extending slot, the accessories can be easily attached to the trailer.

An engine driven impeller type pump for draining water from a plurality of well points is primed by an engine driven oil filled vacuum pump which is connected to the top of a vacuum chamber mounted on the impeller pump housing. A normally open solenoid valve located between the vacuum chamber and vacuum pump is controlled by an electrical control system to prevent water overflow from the vacuum chamber into the vacuum pump. The electrical control system includes low level and high level probes which are located near the lower and upper ends, respectively, of the vacuum chamber, and which are connected in first and second oscillator circuits, respectively. The oscillator circuits are connected to a logic circuit and the latter is connected to a drive circuit which operates the solenoid valve. When the water level in the vacuum chamber rises to the high level probe, the normally open solenoid valve closes and remains closed until the water level recedes below the low level probe.

The float-operated valve device may be arranged to open said secondary chamber to atmosphere when the valve device operates to close said port, and a manually-operable valve may be provided to admit atmospheric air to said secondary chamber and effect discharge of the deposited liquid, independently of the floatoperated valve device.

A mobile, jet type water pump apparatus which is selfpriming and in which the water pump stays primed regardless of whether the water pump is running. The apparatus includes a self-priming tank which is primed by a vacuum pump directly driven by a mobile power source, such as an internal combustion engine, and the apparatus also includes a safety chamber which has a float switch that causes the engine to shut-down in the event that the float valve in the priming chamber fails, there being an electrical connection from the safety chamber float switch to a fuel solenoid valve of the engine and which can shut the engine down. The arrangement also provides that air is sucked in by the vacuum pump and is mixed with lubricating oil from the engine and functions to cool the vacuum pump. The oil-air mixture is returned to a separator tank which separates the oil from the air, the oil being returned to the engine block and the air is vented to the atmosphere.
