    摘要: According to one aspect of the invention, a fluidic actuator and a control system for the fluidic actuator may be provided. A first component of the actuator may have two openings interconnected by a passageway. A second component may be moveably housed within the passageway and divide the passageway into two portions. A fluid delivery system may be connected to the two openings. The fluid delivery system may supply a first pressure of fluid to the first portion of the passageway causing the second component to move within the passageway at a first speed. When the second component is in a selected position within the passageway, the fluid delivery system may reduce the pressure of the fluid, causing a reduction in speed of the second component. The fluidic actuator may be used in a wafer processing system.

    摘要: A plunger mechanism has an internal shock absorber apparatus that operates to absorb shock during plunger fall and rise, thereby promoting a more reliable plunger lift system. The present apparatus can be used in well applications with or without a bumper spring. With the added reliability of the present system, well applications could be implemented such that fewer restrictions are encountered by a plunger at the well bottom. In addition, added reliability can help reduce plunger damage, whereby plunger life can be extended. Similarly, the present apparatus can minimize damage and extend the life of well components.

    摘要: An hydraulic cylinder for driving a reciprocating pump at 5000 to 10,000 psi pressures having a separate spool casing which serves as a detachable extension of the cylinder. The detachable spool casing houses in a single grouping seals for the fluid being pumped, seals for the hydraulic fluid driving the piston, a bearing for the piston rod, and lubricating means for the seals and bearings. This construction provides ready access to these parts for repair and assures concentricity between the piston rod and the bearings and seals in which it reciprocates.In one embodiment a wiper ring is provided between seals to scrape from the piston rod abrasive material in the fluid being pumped and discharge it from the cylinder. In another embodiment an external shock absorber decelerates the piston at one end of its extended stroke, the shock absorber also serving to actuate a valve controlling flow of hydraulic fluid to the cylinder.

    摘要: A tool which connects the last sucker rod of a sucker rod string to a downhole pump has a circularly cylindrical cylinder and piston so that the piston slides reciprocally and rotates freely within the cylinder. However, the closed upper end of the cylinder and the upper face of the piston have a cooperable tongue and groove which prevent relative rotational motion of the piston in the cylinder when the tongue is engaged in the groove so that the tool can be disconnected from the pump in response to rotation of the string at the uppermost stroke of the plunger to engage and turn the tongue and groove.
