    摘要： A hinge for appliances includes a lever and a box-shaped body having a bottom wall and two side walls. The lever and the body, one of which is fixable to a frame of the appliance and the other to a door, are tiltably hinged to each other by a first pin to make the door movable between open and closed positions. The hinge includes an elastic mechanism located at least partly inside the body for producing an elastic reaction force which opposes opening of the door, a connecting rod hinged to a first end of the lever, a tie rod hinged to the connecting rod and connected to the elastic mechanism, and a pivot pin for the tie rod and the connecting rod, slidable with its ends in respective guides formed in the side walls of the body when the door is opened and closed.

    摘要： A carrier assembly consisting of a carrier, a carrier encasement and a sash latch. The carrier is secured to the end of one or more balances, including spiral rod and block and tackle balances. The weight of the sash is borne by a platform on the carrier. The undesired vertical forces exerted by the balance on the carrier is thereby translated into a force urging the carrier toward the sash until firm contact is made between the carrier encasement and the side of the sash. The translation of the torsional force into a side directed force eliminates or substantially reduces the friction that might otherwise have existed between the carrier and the jamb channel caused by the undesired vertical forces exerted by the balance on the carrier.

    摘要： A slider (10) is provided for use with an elongated channel (12) having a pair of spaced apart side walls (14, 16) interconnected by a base wall (18) and an upper wall (20, 22) projecting from each side wall spaced from and generally parallel to the base wall. The slider has a body portion (30) defined by a top surface (32), bottom surface (34) and plurality of side surfaces (36) interconnecting the top and bottom surfaces. The slider also has a plurality of axial slots (42) extending between the top and bottom surfaces adjacent each side surface and a plurality of lateral slots (52) extending between each of the side surfaces and the respective axial slot (42) for allowing the side surface to flex and bias the slider between the side walls of the channel (12). The slider (10) further has a plurality of raised ridges (44) projecting from each of the top and bottom surfaces for flexing and biasing the slider between the upper walls and the base wall of the channel. Finally, the slider includes a plurality of semi-spherical embosses (48) extending from the top and bottom surfaces for slidably engaging and guiding the slider between the upper walls and the base wall within the channel (12).

The hinge assembly includes a damper cylinder; a rod partially located inside the cylinder and partially located outside the cylinder, the rod having an outer surface and being slidable relative to the cylinder in a reciprocating motion between a fully contracted position and a fully extended position; and a coil spring positioned inside the cylinder and around the rod such that the rod extends through a center of the coil spring, the coil spring having an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer surface of the rod contacts the inner surface of the coil spring to prevent the outer surface of the coil spring from contacting the inside surface of the cylinder.
