Abstract:
The present invention discloses a shed tunnel structure for preventing a falling rock, including a shed tunnel body and a buffer plate for bearing impact of the falling rock, where the shed tunnel body includes a first supporting structure, and the first supporting structure is arranged on a side away from a ramp; one end of the buffer plate is connected to the ramp; a side face of the buffer plate close to the shed tunnel body is in movable contact with the first supporting structure, and the contact position is close to the other end of the buffer plate. The objective of resisting continuous impact of the falling rock can be achieved through the structural design.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a protective structure having a plurality of supports arranged spaced apart from each other; having a trapping device which is guided on the supports via at least one support cable arrangement; and having a ground anchorage for free ends of the at least one support cable arrangement. The ground anchorage is designed as a deadman anchorage.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an illuminating safety net which includes a net body which has a quadrilateral perimeter of elongate tensile members, and a plurality of elongate tensile elements attached to the perimeter and extending within the perimeter in at least two transverse directions; and an elongate flexible lighting strip engaged to the net body along at least part of a perimeter edge of the perimeter.
Abstract:
A rock fall barrier including a plurality of support posts and a deformable net spanning the plurality of support posts. Each support post includes: a base fixed to a sloped surface; a first arm pivotally coupled to the base at a first hinge; a first hinge brake for providing friction at the first hinge to provide controlled resistance against pivotal rotation of the first arm relative to the base; a second arm pivotally coupled to the first arm at a second hinge; and a second hinge brake for providing friction at the second hinge to provide controlled resistance against relative pivotal rotation between the first arm and the second arm. A guy wire system is attached to the distal end of each support post on one end and anchored to the sloped surface on the other end. The guy wire system includes upper guy wires having cable brakes.
Abstract:
A post-cable connection for releasably connecting a cable to a post, for example in a roadway cable barrier system. A post-cable connector is hung from the top end of a post whereby when the post is impacted and urged toward ground level the cable is released from the post.
Abstract:
A screen-handling stinger extends and retracts hydraulically from within a bore of a hydraulic stinger of a rock bolter. The screen-handling stinger has a finger that engages a screen. The screen-handling stinger retracts the screen until it snugly abuts the front face of a pad of the stinger. The screen can then be rotated by the rotation motor of the stinger.
Abstract:
With an apparatus for the shock absorption of rope structures, in particular for rockfall, land slide and snow barriers, at least one intermediate piece (1; 1′) deformable by tensile forces is provided which is accommodated within a rope subjected to tension. The intermediate piece (1, 1′) comprises one or more longitudinal elements (7, 8, 20) which can respectively be in the form of a strip, bar, wire, rope and/or strand. The longitudinal element or elements (7, 8, 20) are connected by their one end (7a, 8a; 20a) to the one rope end. On the other hand, they are guided about a deflection element (10; 10′) connected to the other rope end. Means are provided by means of which the deflection angle of the longitudinal element or elements formed upon loading the intermediate piece (1, 1′) is substantially sustained. The shock absorption characteristics can thus be better defined and optimised.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and a method for energy dissipation with a deformable, longitudinally extending material strip which comprises a longitudinal axis and is installed into a cable which can be subjected to tension; and with a deformation device which is also installed into the cable and cooperates with the material strip, characterised in that the material strip, upon application of a tension force to the cable along its longitudinal axis, can be guided in a straight line through the deformation device and in so doing can be deformed.
Abstract:
A guard system for protecting cables or posts from damage by falling rocks and other dynamic forces is provided. The guard assembly comprises a first sleeve rotatably positionable about one of the cables or the posts and a second sleeve rotatably positionable about the cable or the post. A removable collar assembly is positioned between the first sleeve and the second sleeve for maintaining the spacing between the first sleeve and the second sleeve with the removable collar assembly comprising a first removable collar and a second removable collar. The first removable collar has a first slot for receiving the cable or post and the second removable collar has a second slot for receiving the cable or post with the first slot extending from a perimeter of the first removable collar to a point past a center point of the first removable collar and the second slot extending from a perimeter of the second removable collar to a point past a center point of the second removable collar. The first sleeve is free from any overlap and connection with the removable collar assembly and the second sleeve is free from any overlap and connection with the removable collar assembly. The first sleeve, the second sleeve, and the removable collar assembly are independently rotatable from each other.
Abstract:
A releasable post-cable connection includes a post having a top end extending above a ground level. The post having an internal cavity and a slot formed through a post face wall extending downward from the top end of the post in communication with the cavity and a hairpin connector carrying at least one cable and releasably mounted to the post. The hairpin cable connector includes an elongated section forming at least one loop adapted for disposing a cable, and a top section extending at an angle from the elongated member. The elongated section is substantially disposed within the cavity and the loop extends exterior of the cavity, and the top section hung on the top end of the post. When the post is impacted and urged toward the ground level the cable is released from the post.
