    摘要： There is provided a shoe upper with high productivity in which a reinforcing section can be easily formed at the position of the heel or the toe, and a method for producing the same.A shoe upper (1) in which an instep cover section (3) and a sole cover section (2) are integrally knitted in a seamless manner is provided. The shoe upper (1) includes a pocket section (4) formed extending over a left side portion and a right side portion of the shoe upper (1) at least at a position of a heel or a toe of the shoe upper (1). The pocket section (4) is configured by an outer side knitted fabric portion (40) configured with a part of the instep cover section (3), and an inner side knitted fabric portion (49) directly connected to the sole cover section (2) and entered to the inner side of the outer side knitted fabric portion (40). A pocket opening (4i), which is an opening of the pocket section (4), opens at the side of the sole cover section (2).

The vertical panels include at least one relatively translucent panel and a plurality of vertical pocket panels. Each vertical pocket panel includes a vertical pocket. A vane is disposed and contained within the pocket for moving the associated pocket panel between open and closed positions. The vertical pocket panel along with the vane form a relatively opaque panel such that the vertical blind includes relatively translucent and relatively opaque panels.

    摘要： In a method of knitting a tubular knitted fabric comprising a first knitted fabric and a second knitted fabric, regions A, B, C in the first knitted fabric of the tubular knitted fabric are folded back at their respective boundaries and then overlapped with a corresponding part of the second knitted fabric and held in that overlapped state. The method comprises (a) the step of forming the region A in the state in which the regions B and C of the first knitted fabric and the second knitted fabric are attached to needles on the second needle bed, (b) the step of forming the region B of the first knitted fabric in the state in which the region A of the first knitted fabric is attached to needles on the first needle bed and also the region C of the first knitted fabric and the second knitted fabric are attached to the needles on the second needle bed, (c) the step of forming the region C of the first knitted fabric in the state in which the regions A and B of the first knitted fabric is attached to the needles on the first needle bed and also the second knitted fabric is attached to the needles on the second needle bed, and (d) the step of forming the second knitted fabric in the state in which the regions A, B, and C of the first knitted fabric are attached to the needles on the first needle bed. This knitting can permit knitting of the tubular knitted fabric of a larger diameter using the needle bed having the common width.

    摘要： A circular knitting machine for knitting a sock having a pocket knitted integrally with the foot portion includes a needle cylinder carrying long and short butt needles, a drive train for oscillating the needle cylinder in a normal first mode and a second mode 180 degrees out of phase relative to the first mode, a pair of needle raising cams positionable so as to engage only the long butt needles during the knitting of the toe pocket, a lifter for holding the long butt needles in an up position during the knitting of the toe pocket, and a pair of stitch cam for engaging the needles to form the stitches. During the formation of the toe pocket, the short butt needles are pushed downwardly out of action below the knitting height while maintaining their stitches and the long butt needles are oscillated 180 degrees out of phase to form the toe pocket.
