    摘要： An image forming system includes: a first and second stacking sections arranged at a position different from each other for stacking a sheet with an image formed thereon by an image forming section; a first conveyance path and a second conveyance path longer than the first one for conveying the sheet to the first and second stacking sections, respectively through a common conveyance path, wherein an interval between sheets fed along the common conveyance path is smaller than the difference between the second and first conveyance paths; a switching section for switching a conveyance path of the sheet conveyed along the common conveyance path between the first and second conveyance paths; and a control device controls such that an (N+1)th sheet is stacked on the first stacking section after the N-th sheet has been stacked on the second stacking section.

    摘要： There is disclosed a sheet distribution device in which by using a junction conveying means for conveying sheets from a main sorter unit to a slave sorter unit also as a first conveying portion of the sheet distribution device when sheet distribution devices are interconnected, the manufacture cost of the sheet distribution device is reduced. The interconnectable sheet distribution device is provided with a first conveying portion 5A for receiving an image formed sheet 2 from an image forming device 1 to convey the sheet into a body and a second conveying portion 5B for receiving the sheet 2 from the first conveying portion 5A to convey the sheet to each of plural distribution bins 4. At the time of interconnection, a third conveying portion 5D (junction conveying means) for conveying the sheet 2 from a main sorter unit S1 to a slave sorter unit S2 is used also as the first conveying portion 5A. The sheet distribution device has a space for storing the first conveying portion 5A at the time of interconnection.

    摘要： A sheet distribution method for collating a plurality of sets of copies produced by a copying machine into respective bins of a collating apparatus operatively connected to the copying machine, each set of copies consisting of one copy of each respective page of an original document, includes the steps of providing a first display unit, displaying a total number of sets of copies to be produced and collated on the first display unit, computing whether the total number of sets is greater than a number of available bins in the collating apparatus, when the total number of sets is smaller than the number of available bins, collating the sets of copies into the respective bins in a single collation operation, when the total number of sets is greater than the number of available bins, collating the sets of copies into the respective bins in a plurality of successive collation operations, providing a second display unit, during collation of a page of the document by the collating apparatus, computing a total number of copies of the page which have been collated, and displaying the total number of copies on the second display unit. The total number of copies is obtained by counting a number of copies of the page which have been collated during a present collation operation to provide a count, computing a previous number of sets of copies which were collated during previous collation operations and adding the count to the previous number of sets to provide the total number of copies.

    摘要： An image forming system includes a first sheet stacking device including a rack, provided downstream of an image forming apparatus in a conveyance direction of a recording sheet and connected with the image forming apparatus, for stacking the recording sheet delivered from the image forming apparatus; a second sheet stacking device, which is provided downstream of the first sheet stacking device and connected with the first sheet stacking device; and a controller for controlling the image forming apparatus and the first and second sheet stacking devices. At least one of the first and second sheet stacking devices has a job stop button for stopping a printing job, and when the job stop button is turned on while the printing job execution is in progress, the controller controls the sheet stacking device to stop a stack of a recording sheet to the rack.
