Abstract:
The container comprises a container body (1) and a sealing cap (9) which may be screwed to the container body (1). Barbs (5) are circularly distributed on the container body (1). Said barbs (5) each comprise a run-up ramp (7) and a locking surface (8). The sealing cap (9) is connected to a security ring (16) by means of break-off webs (15). The security ring (16) comprises projections (17) extending inwards from the inner circumference thereof, with run-up ramps (18) and locking surfaces (19). On closing the sealing cap (9) the run-up ramps (7;18) slide over each other. On unscrewing the sealing cap (9) an opposing blocking occurs due to the locking surfaces (8;19). The security ring (16) is thus blocked relative to the sealing cap (9), whereupon the break-off webs (15) are torn off.
Abstract:
This relates to a closure having incorporated therein tamper indicating mechanism. The closure is provided with a tamper indicating member in the form of a sleeve which is divided into upper and lower bands which are separate from one another except for rupturable bridges. In lieu of relying solely upon the axial movement of the unrestrained part of the tamper indicating member to effect rupture of the bridges, the tamper indicating member has formed thereon lugs which cooperate with lugs on the neck finish and which lugs have camming surfaces to force the lower band axially away from the upper band as the closure unit is rotated in a removal operation. Separation of the bands may also be assisted by cooperating ramp surfaces between the two bands which become operative when the upper band is rotated and the lower band is held against rotation. This abstract is not to be construed as limiting the claims of the application.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a tamper-evident closure are disclosed which prevent unauthorized access to a container and its contents, deterring adulteration or introduction of counterfeit product. In one embodiment the tamper-evident closure can be fitted to an associated container and closure, and includes a portion which is removed by fracture of the tamper-evident closure to gain access to the container closure. In another embodiment, an arrangement of wedge-like tongues permit fitment of the tamper-evident closure to associated container for temper-evidence. In another embodiment, the tamper-evident closure is joined by frangible bridges to the container closure to provide the desired tamper-evidence. In another embodiment, the tamper-evident closure is movable axially of the associated container closure to thereby provide evidence of removal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a container (1) comprising a container body (4), a closure cap (3), which can be crewed onto said body, and a tamperproof ring (2), which is connected to said cap by way of breakaway webs (10). The closure cap (3) has first driver elements (18), which extend in the axial direction and, when the container (1) is opened for the first time, act on second ramp-like driver elements (19) of the tamperproof ring (2) that extend in the axial direction, and thereby push the tamperproof ring (2) away from the closure cap (3). On a shoulder (6) of the container body (4) that surrounds the container opening, two grooves (22.1, 22.2), one arranged above the other, are provided for receiving and engaging element (23) of the tamperproof ring. The engaging means is engaged first, upper groove (22.1) before the container (1) is opened for the first time and, as a result of the interaction of the driver elements (18, 19) on both sides, is engaged in the second, lower groove (22.2) after the container (1) is opened for the first time.
Abstract:
To develop a combination vessel capable of carrying out temporary fastening while always bringing down a ring portion subsequently to breakage of a bridge part during opening. A cap portion (11) and a ring portion (12) in a cap type sealing tool (1) are coupled to each other through a bridge part (13). Through breakage of the bridge part during opening, the ring portion is pulled down while a sliding protrusion (12uc) on an internal wall in a lower stage area of the ring portion always interposes an upward spread zone (2nx) on an external wall of a neck zone of a bottle portion (2) by pressure. In addition, a vertical convex to block the opening turn (12rc) provided on an inner periphery of the ring portion and a vertical convex (2rc) to block opening turn provided on the external wall (2rz) of the neck zone of the bottle portion do not block attachment of the cap type sealing tool (1) but blocks accompanied rotation of the ring portion during the opening of the cap portion, thereby breaking the bridge part. At least one higher vertical convex (2rcT) is provided in the convexes (2rc). Consequently, it is possible to prevent the ring portion from an erratic opening. Furthermore, the bridge part is not broken during the temporary mounting of the cap type sealing tool and subsequent opening.

Abstract:
A plastic cap having a peripheral band 4 which is provided at the lower end of the skirt-like side wall portion of the cap body, wherein the lower end of the skirt-like side wall portion outwardly protrudes, the peripheral band 4 downwardly extends from the protruded portion 10 at the lower end via a breaking line 11 that is circumferentially formed leaving a plurality of bridges 12, a downwardly extending stopper piece 20 is disposed on the side of closing the cap with respect to at least one of the bridges 12, the stopper piece 20 comes into contact with the bridge 12 at the time of closing the cap, and the cap body and the peripheral band 4 turn together. There is no need of providing space for forming stoppers between the lower end of the skirt-like side wall and the upper end of the peripheral band portion. Therefore, the coupling portion between the two is easily formed by providing a breaking line in the subsequent working of cutting. The cap is integrally molded without the need of using a metal mold having complex surface shapes or a split mold, and the rate of production can be enhanced.
Abstract:
A tamper resistant and child resistant container and closure assembly comprising a container body with a substantially cylindrical neck including an externally screw threaded portion near to the top and below the screw thread a plurality of cams each with an inclined surface terminating in a sharp shoulder, a closure with a body which tapers internally outwardly from an internally screw threaded part near to the top of the closure and which has a corresponding number of depending webs below the screw thread for engagement with the cams on the container neck in the manner of a ratchet and pawl mechanism and a tamper-resistant band provided below the closure body and connected thereto by frangible means, the band being provided with internal webs vertically below the webs on the closure body also for engagement with the cams so that when the closure is unscrewed after disengagement of the body webs from the cams, the band is prevented from turning by the engagement of the band webs with the cams and the frangible means break.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a tamper proof closure for a threaded mouth. The closure comprises a plastic cap provided by means of tear-off elements with a ring. If when the mouth is sealed the ring is still on the cap, then it displays the fact it was not opened yet. The ring is secured against a screwing-off motion by lock elements at the mouth. The ring is provided with at least one aperture entered by a catch on the cap. When the cap is rotated off, the catch destroys the ring. This can be facilitated by providing predetermined rupture sites in the shape of narrow connection strips between certain ring parts.
Abstract:
A method for providing pre-assembled and sterilized container closure assemblies that are each adapted to be secured onto a container including manufacturing pre-assembled container closure assemblies each adapted to be secured onto a container, injection molding a monolithic spout body of thermoplastic material, injection molding a manually removable rotational cap, securing the cap onto the neck of the spout body in a closed position of the cap, submerging each of the pre-assembled container closure assemblies in a bath of sterilizing liquid, and removing the container closure assemblies from the bath of sterilizing liquid, and allowing the sterilizing liquid to drain. A pre-assembled container closure assembly adapted to be secured onto a container is also disclosed.
