Abstract:
A clutch unit includes a lever-side clutch section provided on an input side, for controlling rotational torque to be input through lever operation, and a brake-side clutch section provided on an output side, for transmitting the rotational torque from the lever-side clutch section to the output side, and interrupting rotational torque to be reversely input from the output side. The brake-side clutch section has a two-layer structure, in which two one-way clutches are arranged side by side in an axial direction. The first one-way clutch interrupts rotational torque in a forward direction, which is reversely input from the output side, through meshing of serrated projection and depression portions, whereas the second one-way clutch interrupts rotational torque in a backward direction, which is reversely input from the output side, through meshing of serrated projection and depression portions arranged in an opposite direction.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein is a pumping device for a vehicle seat including a clutch portion transferring rotational force input from a handle lever to a link means, a brake portion fixing the link means, a cylindrical front housing accommodating the clutch portion and the brake portion therein and having a pair of stoppers formed on an outer side surface thereof so as to be spaced apart from each other at a predetermined interval, a lever bracket having a pair of bracket legs provided radially outwardly with respect to the respective stoppers, the lever bracket being rotatably arranged on the outer side surface of the front housing so as to connect the handle lever to the clutch portion, and a return spring having a main body portion configured of a ring-shaped leaf spring and a pair of bending portions formed by bending both end portions of the main body portion.
Abstract:
A clamping roller freewheel for an adjusting device in a motor vehicle includes a cylindrical outer surface, at least one roller pair, an output shaft, a clamping element which is rotationally connected to the output shaft and which has at least one clamping slope on an opposite side of the roller pair to the cylindrical outer surface, and a spacer device which is at least partially between the rollers and has elastic properties. This spacer device includes a spacer piece and a spring. When the spacer piece is in the normal position, an oblique surface bears against a roller. The spring presses the spacer piece into the normal position in which it exerts a force on at least one roller. When passing from the normal position to the retracted position, the oblique surface is moved away from the roller.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat having a lift structure for adjusting the position of the seat employs a load transfer link (9) to transfer the loads applied to the seat from a lift link (3) and an upper support (2) to a pivot bracket (7), which is typically coupled to the floor of the vehicle. The load transfer link is coupled to the pivot bracket on one end and to the lift link on the opposite end, in order to transfer the load. The lift structure permits movement of a restraint seatbelt with the height adjustment of the vehicle seat, thus reducing the potential for discomfort of the occupant.
Abstract:
A structure of operation portion of height adjuster of vehicle seat is provided, in which a brake unit associated with the height adjuster and a support element on which a control lever is mounted are disposed. Further, a transmission mechanism of parallel linkage structure with four articulation points is operatively connected between the bake unit and support element. According thereto, the control lever has operative connection with the brake unit via four articulation points of three link members, such that two of the link members are pivotally connected with the respective brake unit and support element, maintaining parallel relation with each other, while other remaining one of the link members is pivotally connected between those two link members.
Abstract:
A seat assembly (10) for supporting an occupant above a floor in a vehicle includes a seat cushion (12) coupled to a pair of spaced apart risers (20, 22) extending between forward (24) and rearward (26) ends and a seat back (16) pivotally coupled thereto. A rocker mechanism (58) selectively angularly adjusts the seat cushion (12) relative to the floor. A first pivot (70) pivotally connects the rearward ends (26) of the risers (20, 22) to the floor. A sector gear (92) is pivotally coupled to the riser adjacent the forward end and includes a mounting pin (94) offset from the pivotal connection. A rocker link (96) extends from a first end pivotally coupled to the floor and a second end pivotally coupled to the mounting pin (94) for guiding the forward ends (24) of the risers (20, 22) during pivotal movement about the first pivot (70). A pawl (102) is pivotally coupled to the rocker link (96) for selectively engaging the sector gear (92) to maintain the angular position of the seat assembly (10).
Abstract:
A seat height adjusting device. A rail member is fixed to a floor. A lift link is rotatably connected to the rail member. A lower lift arm is connected to a seat cushion, the lift link, and the rail member through a link member. An upper arm is connected to a seat back and rotatably engaged with the lower lift arm. A lower arm is connected to the lower lift arm so as to sandwich the lift link and the upper arm with the lower lift arm. The lower arm is engageable with the lift link and the upper arm.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat includes a backrest and a seat part which is formed by a cushion secured to a first rigid armature itself supported by a second rigid armature on which the backrest is mounted, it being possible for the first armature to be moved back and forth with respect to the second armature and the second armature being supported by a raising mechanism. This raising mechanism includes at least one raising connecting piece having a driving portion which, with respect to the second armature, undergoes a backward relative movement when the seat part is moved up and a forward relative movement when the seat part is moved down, this driving portion being mechanically linked with the first armature.
Abstract:
A height adjusting device for an automotive seat which is actuated by rotation of a drive rod through a gear and link mechanism. The seating height adjustment is locked and unlocked by means of a stopper and lock gear mechanism. A lock releasing means is provided in the stopper and lock gear mechanism such that raising and lowering of an operation lever causes the disengagement of the stopper from the lock gear though the lock releasing means to permit a desired higher or lower seating height adjustment, without any other special operations. The lock releasing means comprises a wire member and release plate.
Abstract:
A vehicle seat is constrained for adjustable movement in two degrees of freedom, viz., tilting and longitudinal sliding by an apparatus which includes three longitudinally-extending, laterally-parallel tracks in the outer two of which are retained a pair of followers attached to the bottom edge of the seat for guiding the seat longitudinally and for tilting it vertically thereabout. A carrier slides along the center track and is lockable in a plurality of longitudinal positions. A tilt-adjustment-arm is pivotally attached to the carrier at one end and has a second end pivotally attached to the seat generally rearward of the front edge and is lockable in a plurality of tilt positions relative to the carrier to permit the seat to be locked in one of a plurality of independent tilt positions.
