摘要： A spring-loaded compression device for retention of documents or other objects within a storage container, or on a surface, such as a shelf. One or more springs are disposed between two plates, which can both serve as pushers to apply compressive force to adjacent documents or objects. The device can be secured so the spring mechanism remains in a fully compressed posture. When released, the spring(s) can expand to any position up to as much as the length of the storage area, to secure adjacent documents or objects in a desired orientation within the storage unit. The spring(s) and attached pusher plate can also be retracted to allow documents or objects to be readily removed from, or placed into, the storage unit. The device can be permanently installed in a storage unit, made portable for use in different storage units, or adapted for use as free-standing bookends.

摘要： A simple, light-weight device consisting of a minimal number of parts, made from injection molded polyethylene or other lightweight, inexpensive material, which fits inside a standard cardboard box of 4.00.times.2.75 inches high of varied length. The device, having two end plates (10A and 10B) which can be pulled apart or put close together, is used to protect Baseball cards, measuring 3.5.times.2.5 inches, from getting damaged when they are loosely transported or stored inside the standard cardboard box. This is accomplished when the two end plates (10A and 10B) in their extended positions are pressing on one side against the inside wall of a standard box and at the other side against a pack of cards. The holding force of the two end plates (10A and 10B) is maintained by a series of molded bubbles and recesses or notches at the inside walls of poly-ethylene parts of a main connector tube (14), which connects two end plates (10A and 10B) at the center of said plates and of said device.

Suspension hooks are joined to the central housing permitting the central housing to be suspended from different width drawers An actuating handle or lever is mounted in the housing for vertical movement. The actuating lever is connected to the bumpers to move them from an extended position to a retracted position. A spring biases the bumpers to their extended position.

摘要： Three separate embodiments of file drawer fillers are provided in the invention. One filler is partially self-adjusting and two fillers are completely self-adjusting in length to accommodate variations in the number of documents in a file or desk drawer. A first embodiment is a substantially rectangular panel strip transversely fan-folded to form several connecting smaller panels of equal size. The folds are aligned horizontally with the two end panels positioned vertically to support filed materials in a vertical position. A second embodiment is provided in an elongated enclosed bellows endwardly connected to vertical end panels. The end panels form the document support surface. The bellows portion of the device is affixed with an air valve which allows the release or intake of air to adjust supporting length of the bellows. A third embodiment entails a horizontal compression spring endwardly attached to two vertical end panels with the end panels providing document support surfaces.

摘要： A filing system features a novel compressor in combination with a three rod filing tray. The compressor includes a first compressor part having a first bearing means adapted to releasably engage a centralmost of the rods and mounting an anti-tilt bar removably disposed above and to bridge across the rods; a second compressor part pivotally connected to the first compressor part and having a second bearing means normally biased for engagement with the centralmost rod for releasably retaining the compressor in desired position lengthwise of the rods. The compressor parts may be employed to alternately engage with file material arranged adjacent front and rear ends of the tray.

摘要： In the combination of a file drawer having a pair of spaced-apart vertical side walls formed with recessed guide channels extending lengthwise of each side wall between front and rear ends of the file drawer; and a follower having a body portion sized to be received within the file drawer with a pair of spaced side edges thereof arranged adjacent the side walls and a pair of guide members upstanding from said body portion adjacent the side edges and sized and arranged for receipt within the guide channels and for movement lengthwise thereof; the improvement comprising a mounting opening extending through one of the side walls in alignment with the guide channel thereof, the opening being sized to permit at least a portion of one of the guide members to project outwardly therethrough to a degree sufficient to accommodate installation of the follower within the file drawer by inserting the follower into the file drawer to assume a starting position with the body portion arranged at an angle of other than 90.degree. relative to the side walls and the one guide member arranged to project outwardly through the opening and then twisting the follower to assume an installed position with the body portion arranged at an angle of approximately 90.degree. relative to the side walls and the guide members positioned within the guide channels.
