摘要: A collapsible support article having a bi-directional corrugated structure is defined by folding along folds lines in an accordion style resulting in peak and valley rows with first and second connections points being defined along the folds lines to generate a second direction of the structure. The first connection points are connected at each peak or valley and each second connection point is connected to adjacent peak or valley rows to define the structural unit. The material used as well as spacing between connection points and the distance between the fold lines determine the strength of and the visibility through the structural unit. The structural unit may be used as a single unit for packing material, as a travel pillow or a plurality of joined structural units to define a sleep suit. Variations in the structural unit may result in a curved support article or a contoured support article.

摘要: A ribbon for manufacturing a honeycomb structure, a honeycomb structure and a method of manufacturing a curved honeycomb structure having a plurality of honeycomb cells, a curved geometry and an inner and outer surface with minimal forming. The ribbon comprises a continuous series of foldable sections arranged in sequence along the length of the ribbon, and top and bottom edges curved along the length of the ribbon when the ribbon is in a flat, unfolded state. Each section may have a top edge and a bottom edge, at least one top edge or bottom edge of at least one section in said continuous series of foldable sections being curved to conform to said curved geometry of said honeycomb structure.

摘要: A lamination of three or more webs employing glue printers to provide a predetermined pattern of transverse stripes of adhesive on the webs and on the top and bottom surfaces of the assembled lamination after which the lamination is corrugated as it moves longitudinally into an accordion folded condition with the folded edges then being trimmed to provide an unexpected honeycomb core. The unexpected honeycomb core is then expanded to form a honeycomb core material.

摘要: A method for producing a strip-shaped object of any thickness, width and length, made up of stacked, partially glued together foil strips. According to said method, each of the foil strips is provided with adhesive strips applied across the width (u) of the foil strip on one side, and the adhesive strips are offset from each other on foil strips that directly follow each other. The foil strips are stacked to produce a foil strip stack, pressed against each other in the stacking direction and glued together in order to produce the strip-shaped object. In the process, a line of foil which is provided with adhesive strips crosswise to its longitudinal direction (x) is divided into at least two lines of foil strips of equal width in its longitudinal direction (u). The individual lines of foil strips are deviated and guided one above the other with adhesive strips which are offset from each other, cut into sections from foil strip packets consisting of individual foil strips, in cycles, and fed to the foil strip stack in the form of foil strip packets.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing a strip-shaped object (48) of any thickness, width and length, made up of stacked, partially glued together foil strips (30). According to said method, each of the foil strips (30) is provided with adhesive strips (18) applied across the width (u) of the foil strip on one side, and the adhesive strips (18) are offset from each other on foil strips (30) that directly follow each other. The foil strips (30) are stacked to produce a foil strip stack (39), pressed against each other in the stacking direction and glued together in order to produce the strip-shaped object (48). In the process, a line of foil (22) which is provided with adhesive strips (18) crosswise to its longitudinal direction (x) is divided into at least two lines of foil strips (29) of equal width in its longitudinal direction (u). The individual lines (29) of foil strips are deviated and guided one above the other with adhesive strips (18) which are offset from each other, cut into sections from foil strip packets (34) consisting of individual foil strips (30), in cycles, and fed to the foil strip stack (39) in the form of foil strip packets (34).
