    摘要： An apparatus for forming one or more blocks from carbon dioxide particle is configured to allow changing between precise thicknesses with very little downtime, utilizing both weight based and volumetric dosing. A spacer supports the lower ejection piston during block forming, with a shuttle discharging particles into the forming chamber while simultaneously pushing one or more previously formed blocks on to a conveyor. In one embodiment, the shuttle dosing cavity has a volume that is greater than the volume of the forming chamber volume, which allows more pellets, volumetrically, to be dosed into the dosing cavity than the volume of the forming cavity.

    摘要： A tabletting machine having a ring-shaped die table rotatable about a generally upwardly extending axis and having dies arranged at a die surface. Punches supported in the die table and reciprocably driven with respect to the dies cooperate with punches semi-rigidly mounted on a rotatable hub to form and eject tablets from the dies. The hub is rotated to move the punches mounted thereon in a circular path to enter and exit the dies in a predetermined sequence. Individual pump means associated with the punches in the die table and means for catching and extracting loose tabletting material falling from the dies serve to reduce contamination of the many parts of the machine by the tabletting material.

    摘要： Am improved press for molding ceramic material which has a base frame on which a first carrier is rigidly mounted and which fixedly supports a stationary punch. A stripper platen is slidably movably supported on said first carrier and is adapted to be reciprocated therein by third piston and cylinder means mounted in said first carrier. The stripper platen includes an annular chamber disposed around the stationary punch for receiving granular ceramic material from a hopper mounted in the base frame. A second carrier is also rigidly mounted in the base frame and supports first and second cylinder and piston means. The first cylinder and piston means serves to support a movable punch which exerts the main molding pressure on the ceramic material when the stationary and movable punch are in the molding position. The second cylinder and piston serve to move the movable punch towards and away from the stationary punch and to exert supplemental pressure on the movable punch during the molding process.
