摘要： A blade replaceable hacksaw includes a spine with a handle connected thereto. A tension adjustor and a first blade securing portion are connected to the first and second ends of the spine. A positioning block is pivotably connected to the second end of the spine and a second blade securing portion is formed to the positioning block. A protrusion extends from the first end of the positioning block. A stop is connected to the second end of the spine and has an inclined face and a top face. When the positioning block is pivoted upward and supported on the inclined face, a first blade is connected between the first blade securing portion and the tension adjustor. When the positioning block is pivoted downward and the protrusion contacts the stop face of the stop, a second blade is connected between the second blade securing portion and the tension adjustor.

摘要： A hacksaw with an improved mechanism for applying and adjusting the tension on a blade mounted to a blade mount on a front arm and a blade mount on a rocker arm. The rocker arm is pivotally coupled to a handle and is spring biased to place an initial tension on a blade held by the rocker arm and the front arm. A rotatably mounted lever is positioned on the handle for vertically displacing a nut captured in the rocker arm to pivot the rocker arm and adjust the tension on the rocker arm-held blade. An elongate top frame bar of the hacksaw defines a hollow I-beam cross-section accessible from the face of the front handle and is capable of storing saw blades. A bale screw is positioned in the front member for securing the blades in a position extending past the front handle.

摘要： A two-position, quick-change hacksaw consists of a back member, handle structure adjacent a rearward end portion of the back member, and a swing arm adjacent the forward end. The free end of the swing arm and the forward end portion of the back member have coplanar blade-engaging elements thereon which serve to engage the forward end of the blade and which are commonly disposed on an arc that circumscribes a third coplanar blade-engaging element disposed on a coupling block of a tensioning mechanism for mounting the rearward end of the blade. Two coplanar sets of transversely paired engagement elements enable mounting of the blade both in a plane parallel to a medial plane of the frame and also in a plane disposed at a substantial angle thereto. In one configuration, with the swing arm in its inoperative position, the saw is adapted for cutting within a relatively confined space; with the swing arm in its operative position the saw is configured for cutting within a relatively unconfined space.

摘要： A two-position, quick-change hacksaw consists of a back member, handle structure adjacent a rearward end portion of the back member, and a swing arm adjacent the forward end. Two coplanar sets of transversely paired engagement elements enable mounting of the blade both in a plane parallel to a medial plane of the frame and also in a plane disposed at a substantial angle thereto. 摘要： A hacksaw includes an integrally formed frame member providing a bridge section and outer and inner end sections depending therefrom. The inner end section has a reversely bent portion extending laterally to one side thereof to provide a transversely extending mounting arm at its free end and a spacing between the transversely extending mounting arm and the other arm of the reversely bent mounting portion. Handle means are provided on the inner end section and blade engaging means are provided on the outer end section adjacent the free end thereof for engaging one end of the hacksaw. Mounting means are provided on the mounting arm to engage the other end of the associated hacksaw blade. The blade engaging means on the outer end section includes a transversely extending pin projecting from one side surface thereof and a laterally offset leg portion adapted to bear upon the side surface of the associated hacksaw blade to retain it upon the transversely extending pin. The blade engaging means may also include a depending pin at the free end thereof so that the blade may be mounted in either horizontal or vertical disposition. The blade mounting means on the mounting arm includes a draw bolt assembly seated in a slot on the mounting arm, and the slot is desirably configured so as to permit 90* rotation of the draw bolt assembly for mounting of the saw blade in either horizontal or vertical positions.
