    摘要: Apparatus (1) for inspecting and sampling a wound coil (2) of metal strip (3) having a supporting arrangement for the wound coil (2). The supporting arrangement has at least two base rollers (4) arranged adjacent to one another. The rollers have roller axes (5) extending parallel to one another and onto which the coil (2) is placed for support. An inspection device (6) is arranged alongside the supporting arrangement. The inspection device (6) performs an inspection of the metal strip (3) at least when the metal strip (3) is a thin metal strip. A sampling device (10) arranged opposite the inspection device (6) with respect to the supporting arrangement, such that the supporting arrangement is located between the inspection device (6) and the sampling device (10). The sampling device (10) has a separating device (12) which takes a sample of the metal strip (3) when the metal strip (3) is a thick metal strip (3).

    摘要: The invention concerns a device for guiding a metal strip 200 in the vicinity of a coiler and a method for operating a device of this type. The device of the invention comprises a support frame 160, which at its first end is rotatably supported about a second axis of rotation D2 relative to a fixed structure 400 and supports a guide table 120 and at its second end, i.e., the end that lies opposite the first end, is rotatably connected with a swivel frame 140 about a first axis of rotation. The swivel arm supports a first guide table at its end that lies opposite the first axis of rotation D1. Both the support frame 160 and the swivel frame 140 are controlled by their own associated actuators and are suitably positioned according to the desired operating position. It is advantageous that the device of the invention can be adjusted in an especially universal way, i.e., that it can be moved into many different operating positions.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for handling web material paid off from a coil to a downstream end-use machine. The method generally includes automatically adjusting the height of the coil of web material to maintain a consistent payoff line, and includes dekinking the trailing end of the web material to prevent damage to downstream machines. The apparatus generally includes a reel-type uncoiler having a vertically adjustable mandrel and having a payoff roll biased into engagement with the outside diameter of the coil to define a payoff line of the web material. A dekinker is positioned just downstream of the uncoiler to dekink the trailing end of the web material and to thread the leading end of the web material into a downstream feeder. The dekinker includes a threader roll and a breaker roll pivotably mounted about a common pivot axis, wherein a kinked portion of web material is straightened therebetween.

    摘要: An apparatus and method for handling web material paid off from a coil to a downstream end-use machine.     摘要: Certain steps in the present method of uncoiling and straightening strip material require that the pivotally mounted straightening machine have an inclined position as when operating on rather heavy and thick material. However when operating on thin strip material the pivotal straightening machine is horizontally positioned and substantially the same method steps are performed in passing the strip material to an accumulation pit. Also the coil is contained during operation to prevent uncontrolled expansion of the internal convolutions and stripping of the initial convolutions from the rotating coil and bending the same in a direction reverse to the curvature when on the coil is also contemplated by the method disclosed.

    摘要: For use in connection with an underground reel in a rolling mill for band-shaped rolling stock, a two-roll driving device, with an upper driving roll and a lower driving roll which are arranged one above the other. When looking in the direction in which the rolling stock enters the reel, the axle of the upper driving roll is during the entry of the start of the rolling stock into the reel located behind the axle of the lower driving roll and after the start of the band-shaped rolling stock has been grasped by the winding mandrel of the reel the upper driving roll is pivotable into a position vertically above the axle of the lower driving roll, while behind the lower driving roll there is provided a deviating device for the band-shaped rolling stock. The upper driving roll is journalled in a stand which is pivotable about the axis of the lower driving roll and adjustable relative to the latter. A frame supporting the pivotable stand has arranged thereon a horizontally displaceable deviating flap which is movably connected to the stand.
