摘要： A device for dispensing chemical solutions into a liquid flow, alone or in combination with a filter cartridge. Said chemical solution is created by dissolving up to two chemical solutes contained within chemical cartridges into said liquid flow. The device is comprised of a lower chemical cartridge containing a first solute connected to an upper chemical cartridge containing a second solute, and a dispenser which allows said liquid flow to continue through the flow network. The device allows for higher concentrations of a single solute to be introduced into said liquid flow than present techniques or allows for the introduction of multiple solutes into said liquid flow within the same dispenser system.

摘要： An automated apparatus for preparing a liquid bioprocess solution includes at least one mixing chamber having a lower port and an upper port for fluid to enter the at least one mixing chamber, an array of tubing for fluid flow within the system, a plurality of valves provided within the tubing, and a mixing controller configured to cause the automated apparatus to perform a series of sequential mixing steps causing the preparation of the liquid bioprocess solution from a dry ingredient. The series of sequential mixing steps include opening a first valve associated with the lower port to provide fluid to the at least one mixing chamber through the lower port, and after a predetermined amount of elapsed time, closing the first valve and opening a second valve associated with the upper port to provide fluid to the at least one mixing chamber through the upper port.

摘要： An automated bioprocess solution preparation apparatus includes a first mixing chamber containing at least one ingredient for a bioprocess solution, a first port and a second port for a fluid to enter the mixing chamber, and a third port for a liquid bioprocess solution to exit the mixing chamber. The apparatus further includes an array of tubing for fluid flow within the apparatus, a sensor arranged to measure a property of the liquid bioprocess solution exiting the mixing chamber, a first valve associated with the first port, and a second valve associated with the second port. When the property meets or exceeds a threshold value, the apparatus is operable to perform at least one of: closing the first valve to block the fluid from entering the mixing chamber through the first port, and opening the second valve for the fluid to enter the mixing chamber through the second port.

摘要： A flow of a chemical is mixed with a flow of a primary fluid to form a combined fluid, and during mixing a velocity of the combined fluid is maintained at a threshold value so that a resulting mixture of the chemical and primary fluid has a designated homogeneity. The primary fluid is directed to an end of a passage with a venturi like contour that is inside of a mixer, and the chemical is directed to a side passage that extends laterally in the mixer that intersects the passage. A spring loaded valve in the passage maintains the combined flow velocity at the threshold value.

The fluid nozzle means is in communication with the feeder tank and the inlet connection and the fluid injection system controls a flow rate of fluid at which the fluid nozzle means introduce the fluid into the feeder tank based upon characteristics comprising solubility of the product at a temperature of the fluid in the feeder tank, weight of the product to be dispensed or to be dissolved in the feeder tank, and dispensing time, and the fluid injection system controls a flow rate of the fluid nozzle means to satisfy equation: F=(W)/(T×S) wherein, F is the flow rate of the fluid nozzle means, W is weight of the product in the feeder tank, T is dispensing time and S is solubility of the product at the temperature of the fluid in the feeder tank.
