A dual dispenser includes a first container adapted to hold a first product, the first container including an end portion having at least one dispensing port and a second container adapted to hold a second product, the second container including an end portion having at least one dispensing port. The dual dispenser also includes a closure having at least one dispensing opening therein adapted to be in fluid communication with the at least one dispensing port of the first and second containers. The end portions of the first and second containers form a neck finish adapted to receive the closure. The neck finish and closure include engagement surfaces for rotatably mounting the closure on the neck finish such that the closure can rotate relative to the first and second containers. Upon rotation of the closure, the at least one dispensing port of the first and second containers are aligned or misaligned with the at least one dispensing opening of the closure so that a variable amount of first and second products are dispensed from the dual dispenser depending upon the orientation of the closure relative to the first and second containers.

In one embodiment, separate sources of solid VPET and solid PMC are provided. A conduit is provided between the sources and a bulk-container, which is suitable for delivery to an end user. VPET from the source of VPET and PMC from the PMC source are selectively dispensed into the conduit in a desired amount to form a uniform blend of materials comprising a predetermined ratio of VPET relative to PMC. The blend of materials is transported to the bulk-container for delivery to an end user.

An in-line mixing system and method for mixing one or more paint fluid subcomponents. The system includes subcomponent input lines (20) connected to a reducing manifold (22). An on/off solenoid valve (28) in each line is arranged to allow or prohibit fluid from entering the reducing manifold. The reducing manifold includes multiple input passages that converge to form a single output passage. A flow meter (26) is in communication with the manifold output passage to measure the flow of subcomponent fluid through the manifold. Using the flow meter, a control system (30) causes the input line solenoid valves to open and close to create a slugwise line of subcomponent fluids passing from the manifold output passage. From the reducing manifold, the slugwise line enters an integrator (32) where the subcomponents are partially mixed. A static mixer (34) connects to the output of the integrator to thoroughly mix the fluids. Preferred embodiments of a mixing system, an integrator, and an control instruction system are provided.

An automated propellant blending apparatus and method uses closely metered addition of countersolvent to a binder solution with propellant particles dispersed therein to precisely control binder precipitation and particle aggregation. A profile of binder precipitation versus countersolvent-solvent ratio is established empirically and used in a computer algorithm to establish countersolvent addition parameters near the cloud point for controlling the transition of properties of the binder during agglomeration and finishing of the propellant composition particles. The system is remotely operated by computer for safety, reliability and improved product properties, and also increases product output.
