    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a fiber discfilter, and an object of the present disclosure is to provide a fiber discfilter with a means of forming grooves on a surface of filter cloths, the fiber discfilter being configured such that foreign substances in a deep part of a filter cloth having bristles as well as foreign substances on a surface of the filter cloth may be smoothly captured during a process of filtering inflow water, and all the foreign substances captured on the surface part and in the deep part of the filter cloth may be smoothly removed during a cleaning process by a cleaning means. The present disclosure provides a fiber discfilter including a groove forming means for forming a groove in a surface of a filter cloth, the fiber discfilter including: a filter unit configured such that a plurality of filter segments each having front and rear surfaces on which filter cloths each having a surface provided with bristles are installed is installed on an outer portion of a drum so that inflow water is filtered by being introduced into the filter segments while passing through the filter cloths; a cleaning means configured to remove foreign substances captured in the filter cloths; and a groove forming means disposed to be positioned at the periphery of the filter unit and having a plurality of protrusions configured to be inserted into the surface of the filter cloth and form grooves in the surface of the filter cloth when the filter unit rotates, such that foreign substances on the surface of the filter cloth and foreign substances in a deep part of the filter cloth are uniformly captured during a process of filtering the inflow water, and the foreign substances captured in the deep part of the filter cloth are exposed during a process of cleaning the filter cloth, such that the foreign substances captured in the deep part are smoothly removed.

    Abstract: A self-cleaning screen includes a rotatable drum made of mesh material and an inlet pipe extending through a front end of the drum. A flotation structure supports the drum with the inlet pipe and the lower part of the drum submerged during use. A cleaning spray system located within the drum receives cleaning water through a hollow shaft supporting a rear end of the drum. Spray nozzles located within an upper part of the drum above the water level direct the cleaning water radially outward to dislodge debris from the screen. The front end of the drum includes an annular ring and a rubber seal extending radially inwardly from the annular ring to engage the inlet pipe. A drive belt extends around the annular ring to rotate the drum. A plurality of rollers engage an outer surface of the annular ring to support the drum for rotation about a horizontal axis.

    Abstract: A filtering device, in particular for fish basins, has a housing (10) encompassing a filter chamber (20) and a filter drum (30), which is rotatably disposed in the filter chamber (20) and is loadable with water to be purified, about which a filter belt (40) is guided along part of its circumference from a dispensing roller (42) to a receiving roller (41) that is driven by a paddle wheel (5) disposed outside the filter chamber (20). The paddles (51) of the filter wheel are activated by unpurified water in such a way that the filter belt (40) is wound from the dispensing roller (42) onto the receiving roller (41).As the filter belt that loops around the filter drum becomes increasingly dirty and the water level in the filter chamber rises as a result, the unpurified water that is delivered by a pump flows over an overflow onto the paddle wheel as a mechanical drive means and places a receiving roller for the dirty filter belt into rotation. This causes the receiving roller to continually wind up with its circumference the filter belt that is looped around the filter drum from the dispensing roller, causing unused filter belt that is permeable for the water being purified to advance onto the filter drum, the filtering effect to resume, and the water level to again drop below the overflow.The energy that is required for this regulating process is therefore generated solely in a mechanical fashion by the overflowing water. As a result, the filtering capacity of known filtering devices can be improved, and they can be designed to be low-maintenance.
