Abstract:
A relay segment for a toy track set, the relay segment having: an incoming track segment pivotally mounted to the relay segment for adjustable movement with respect to the relay segment in a first plane; a trigger movably mounted to the relay segment for movement between a first position and a second position, the trigger being located proximate to the incoming track segment such that a portion of the trigger is positioned above the incoming track segment, wherein the portion moves away from the incoming track segment as the trigger is moved from the first position to the second position; and a launching element for launching a vehicle away from the relay segment when the trigger is moved from the first position to the second position.
Abstract:
A toy track set for a toy vehicle is disclosed herein, the toy track set having: a first track path comprising a first looped vehicle path; a second track path comprising an alternate vehicle path, the second track path having a first segment and a second segment, the second segment being separated from the first segment by a gap, the second segment being pivotally mounted to the track set for reciprocal movement between a first position and a second position, wherein a toy vehicle travelling along the second track path from the first segment to the second segment will travel along a first portion of the second segment when the second segment is in the first position and the toy vehicle traverses the gap and wherein the toy vehicle travelling along the second track path from the first segment to the second segment will be captured in a receiving area of the second segment when the second segment is in the second position and the toy vehicle traverses the gap; a track diverter pivotally mounted to the track set for movement between a first position and a second position wherein the toy vehicle travelling along the first track path will remain on the first track path when the track diverter is in the first position and wherein the toy vehicle travelling along the first track path will be diverted to the second track path when the track diverter is in the second position; and a booster for propelling the toy vehicle along either the first track path or the second track path.
Abstract:
A track set is disclosed herein, the track set having: a first track segment pivotally mounted to the track set for movement between a first position and a second position, the first track segment having a first end and a second end; a perforated vessel secured to the first end of the first track segment, wherein a predetermined amount of water in the perforated vessel will maintain the first track segment in the first position; a second track segment mounted to the track set, the second end of the first track segment being spaced from a receiving end of the second track segment and the second end of the first track segment being elevated from the receiving end of the second track segment when the first track segment is in the first position, wherein at least one toy vehicle positioned proximate to the first end of the first track segment will be held there until an amount of water in the perforated vessel is less than the predetermined amount and the first track segment moves from the first position to the second position, wherein the least one toy vehicle travels away from the first end of the first track segment to the second track segment by traversing a gap between the second end of the first track segment and the receiving end of the second track segment.
Abstract:
Vehicle playsets having multiple configurations. The vehicle playsets may include a track segment, a trigger adjacent to the track segment, a moving component adapted to move toward the trigger, and a launch mechanism coupled to the track segment and adapted to launch a toy vehicle along the track segment toward the moving component. Striking the moving component with the toy vehicle may prevent the moving component from reaching the trigger. The playset may include at least two configurations including a closed configuration and an open configuration that is suitable for play.
Abstract:
A playset for use with a toy vehicle including an elongate track defining at least one travel path. In some examples, the playset includes a switching mechanism for switching a toy vehicle between different travel paths. In some examples, the playset includes an obstacle mechanism for selectively deploying an obstacle in at least one travel path. In some examples, the playset includes indicator mechanisms, including an active indicator mechanism and a passive indicator mechanism.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for operating a digital control system for track-guided toy vehicles (10), with at least two tracks (24, 26), wherein at least one set of points (34) is provided. Accordingly in each case a switching command given for a particular toy vehicle is transmitted for switching a set of points, which this toy vehicle will next cross, into the switched state in the digital control system together with a digital address of the toy vehicle to which the switching command applies; at least the toy vehicle for which a switching command is transmitted broadcasts an identifier representing the digital address of this toy vehicle in the digital control system, wherein each set of points receives a broadcast identifier from the toy vehicle that is approaching these points and compares it with the digital address of one or more transmitted switching commands and switches the points into the switched state if the digital address in the identifier of the toy vehicle received is identical to a digital address for which a switching command is transmitted in the digital control system.
Abstract:
A plurality of stunt devices are used within a toy vehicle trackset. Each of the devices includes a movable portion within the toy vehicle travel path. Each movable portion is moved by a pneumatic actuator. A manually operated air bellows is coupled to each pneumatic actuator by a hollow tube. When a particular air bellows is compressed, the corresponding actuator moves the movable portion diverting the toy vehicle on the stunt device.
Abstract:
A toy includes a toy vehicle and a closed loop trackset for guiding the toy vehicle about the track loop. The trackset further includes a booster having one or more rotating disks positioned to grip the toy vehicle and accelerate the vehicle. The toy vehicle supports a momentum sensitive switch and a microprocessor counter and liquid crystal display for responding to each disturbance of the momentum switch to increment the display lap count upon the liquid crystal display. The momentum switch is positioned and configured to respond to the momentum changes imparted to the toy vehicle as the booster accelerates the toy vehicle.
Abstract:
There is disclosed herein a racing game consisting of a continuous trackway defining separate paths constructed such that the racing vehicles travel faster in one path than in the other, a switching section provided in the trackway normally diverting each vehicle from the faster path to the slower path and actuating members available to each of the players permitting the vehicles to be diverted from the slower path to the faster path, a recharging station wherein the miniature electric motors powering the vehicles are recharged as desired by the players and a counting station recording the number of times each of the player's vehicles has traversed the trackway.
