摘要: Methods and games for teaching cognitive and social skills to children with alternative learning styles, particularly children with kinesthetic and/or visual learning styles. Mission-oriented exercises are designed to engage hyperactive children to solve problems. Alternative methods of displaying and sequencing data communicate with visual learners, encouraging flexibility of cognitive thought processes.Various embodiments of games and game parts are disclosed herein. Children are dealt game parts having indicia, such as numbers, letters, or actions. Children configure said parts into linear, curvilinear, radial, or stacked assemblies, producing random, compound permutations of equations to calculate. Children operate the games in a competitive, cooperative social environment. An observer provides feedback. Said games require physical exercise which promotes kinesthetic learning. Said permutations create subgroups of children to interact socially.The inventor contemplates embodiments as electromechanical games, comprised of substantially smaller, plastic game parts, wherein embedded electronic components display indicia and provide feedback.

摘要: A firm, flexible game mat has tapered edges, art work, and transparent portions defining sections of sufficient size and spaced to enable a player to place a foot on and hop from one to the jothers. The trasparent portions also provide areas through which images and lights are visible. The apparatus includes an electronic control unit, including a variety of function buttons, a score display screen, and a speaker device, which along with multiple lights and sensors and other electronic componentes located throughout the game mat provide a variety of functions allowing a player to interact on the game mat whereby movements are detected by sensors and activate changes in the electronic control unit, components, and devices for computing players'progress, displaying scores, activating various lights and images, and producing multiple sound and music for entertaining players and to direct the playing of a game. When the actuator button is pressed lights and music are generated. A scotch included with the game is tossed upon the mat lighting a player identification indicator. A player hops from the first block to the last block, turns, and hops back picking up the scotch on the return journey. This process is repeated by each player. Each player's score is displayed on a score display screen. Pressing the reset button clear prior game information in the electronic control. The electronic control unit deactivates after a predetermined period of time if no activity on a game apparatus is sensed or detected.

摘要: The present invention is a method of playing a variant of a hop-scotch game consisting of multiple turns. The game involves a group of players, where players take turns hopping on one foot from pre-determined starting points, through a series of boxed-off spaces, to a pre-determined destination. If the player reaches the pre-determined destination without falling, using both feet, or stepping on the edge of any of the boxed-off spaces, the player may claim one of the boxed-off spaces over which the player has traveled and which is not already claimed by another player by placing a mark within the boxed-off space. The game is over when all of the boxed-off spaces are claimed. The player with the most claimed boxed-off spaces wins the game.

The system further comprises a control unit comprising control unit communicator arranged for wirelessly receiving the control signal from a tile, a game controller comprising a game memory and an interpreter for interpreting the control signal in the light of a stored game and a signal generator for generating signals associated with the interpreted control signal. A tile further comprises an orientation sensor for identifying on which side of the tile the pressure is exerted. In one aspect the present invention provides a more versatile gaming system.
