    摘要： A chip sanitizing device comprises an area that is substantially enclosed and includes a sanitizing unit comprising a germicidal bulb and a power source. One or more chips is placed within the device and after the germicidal bulb is activated the one or more chips is sanitized. In another embodiment of the invention a chip rack is modified to include a sanitizing unit comprising a germicidal bulb, a power source and a fan stored in a housing attached to the chip rack. The slots are modified to contain openings to allow ultraviolet light to reach the chips sitting atop the rack. The ultraviolet light may sterilize microorganisms such as germs and bacterium found on chips. A fan is used to provide circulation and may increase the likelihood of germs and bacteria coming into contact with the ultraviolet light. In a further embodiment of the invention a lid is provided that substantially covers the chip rack and stores the sanitizing unit. In a further embodiment, the inner surfaces of a lid or housing may be covered with reflective material to increase the likelihood that the ultraviolet light comes into contact with germs or bacteria.

    摘要： A chip rack comprises: (a) a tray including first and second parallel side walls; bottom member including a plurality of cylindrical troughs that hold chips and are parallel to first and second side walls; and first and second parallel longitudinal walls; and (b) a plurality of dividers that perpendicularly intersect the plurality of cylindrical troughs wherein the dividers are spaced to separate a predetermined quantity of chips such as 20, which is the casino industry standard used in the accounting of chip inventories. The dividers separate chips into stacks of 20, allowing quicker accounting of chips by dealers and supervisors. The plurality of dividers may comprise multiple series of protuberances and may further include a divider or spacer that runs along the first longitudinal wall to provide distance between the first longitudinal wall and a chip stack to allow a dealer to easily lift up the chip stack.

In one embodiment of the hole card reader and chip rack, a chip rack of standard configuration is provided, and defines a cutout into which the reader can be placed. In another embodiment, the chip rack and reader are molded as a single unit. A removable locking cover is also disclosed which can be used to cover chip racks any time they are not in use.
