    摘要: A rotary type adjustable cushioning mechanism of a treadmill, comprising a cushioning unit being interposed the base frame and the running board such that an expected and proper cushioning effect is created after the running board is subject to a force. The cushioning unit consists of two regulating mechanisms and a resilient element. Each of the regulating mechanisms includes a scale displaying disc, an adjustment knob, a transmission gear set, a position-adjusting threaded bolt, an elastic cushioning element, a coupled compression lever, and a coupled bracket pivotably attached to the running board. The resilient element is pivotably connected between both of the coupled brackets. When the adjustment knob is turned, the elastic cushioning element can move up and down on the position-adjusting threaded bolt, thereby changing the compression force between the elastic cushioning element and the coupled compression lever.

    摘要: Methods for profiling exercise sessions are described. An example method of determining cadence of a user disclosed herein includes receiving output signals from a sensor generated in response to consecutive footfalls of the user impacting a deck of a treadmill during an exercise session and processing the output signals from the sensor to determine respective magnitude values of a peak or a trough value of each of the output signals. The method includes detecting whether a first output signal has a first peak or trough value and detecting whether a second output signal has a second peak or trough value, determining a time interval between the first peak or trough value detected and the second peak or trough value detected, and calculating a cadence value of the user based on the time intervals.

    摘要: To support a deck of an exercise treadmill one or more arcuate leaf springs are used in a deck support structure. The leaf springs can be made of a single member of elastomeric material. An adjustment mechanism can be used to changed the radius of the leaf springs in order to vary spring rates of the leaf springs. Where a number of different leaf springs are used, the adjustment mechanism can be used to adjust the spring rates of different springs independently.

    摘要: A hardness adjustable platform for supporting a conveyor belt of a treadmill includes a platform body having internal spaces, and a plurality of elastic fillers moveably and respectively disposed in the internal spaces of the platform body for providing a cushion effect. The fillers are moveable relative to the platform body by an external force and divide the platform body into first and second regions having different hardness. As a result, the runner who uses the treadmill equipped with the aforesaid platform may adjust the positions of the fillers according to his/her physical condition and running speed to change the hardness distribution of the platform so as to enhance his/her running efficiency and reduce the risk of exercise injury.
