Abstract:
A fire curtain assembly is presented that is collapsible for easy transport and quickly and easily assembled for use. This system includes a panel having a plurality of support members positioned in approximate parallel spaced alignment to one another across the panel. The support members have a center section and opposing end sections that selectively connect to the center section thereby forming rigid supports across the panel. End sections have a handle member that connects to a pushrod having a locking pin connected to its end. The locking pin selectively engages and disengages the center section. The handle members have detents that fit within detent sockets thereby holding the handle members in a withdrawn position or an inserted position.
Abstract:
A non-directional smoke control damper includes a central blade (11), a plurality of outer blades (12) and a blade advancing/retreating device; an outer edge of the central blade (11) overlaps with an opening edge of the plurality of outer blades (12); a support shaft (110) is disposed to pass through the overlapping portion of the edges; a rear end of the support shaft (110) is coupled through a shaft coupling plate (230); and if the central blade (11) advances forwards, the plurality of outer blades (12) advance forwards in order so that a gap is formed at each edge between the central blade (11) and an adjacent outer blade and between a prior-order outer blade and a posterior outer blade to form a blowing passage, thereby allowing an air current to flow into the vestibule through the blowing passage.
Abstract:
A deployable heat and smoke obstacle is disclosed. A screen is wound around a shaft over a passageway in a building or a vehicle. The shaft can rotate in response to an alarm signal to deploy the screen over the passageway to prevent smoke and heat from passing through the passageway. The screen includes magnetic sheets that engage a corresponding magnetic surface near the passageway to hold the screen in place over the passageway. The screen also includes heat-sensitive fasteners that deform when heated to engage corresponding holes in the passageway to hold the screen in place over the passageway.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a protection device for ventilation ducts where at least one duct opening for the supply and/or evacuation of air is provided, in particular for fire protection of air conditioned rooms for information technology installations. To separate the protection zones in the event of an emergency according to high safety standards, it is suggested that said protection device comprises at least one protection slide that is supported in a vertically displaceable manner and furthermore includes a sliding mechanism by means of which said protection slide is movable from an open position to a closed position of said duct opening, said duct opening being completely covered by said protection slide in said closed position.
Abstract:
A novel damper kit is described wherein blade stock having a hook-shaped hinge portion formed therein, and notched angle bracket stock having periodically spaced hook-shaped hinge elements formed therealong can easily be cut and assembled at the job site to custom fit and install a damper in a duct, opening, or plenum.
